I have been a fan of mellow mushroom pizza since they first came to Montgomery decades ago. Hadn't been to this new location and absolutely loved the colors and decor inside. It's very festive and fun. Are waiter. John was a delight. It was his first day and he did a great job. The pizza and pretzel bite appetizer with the beard pub cheese were both delicious. Was a really fun night out with one of my best friends.
We walked right in and seated quickly. Friendly and bright atmosphere. Food was fresh and good. Nothing appeared ro be pre-made. This restaurant gets onlyb4 stars because of the service and price. The waitress we had only came to the table three times....other people had to check on us and get things for the table. Price was a bit high for pizza....don't know if thus is a COVID or inflation thing or not...but a 21.00 bill for an individual pizza and coke is a bit much.
Great atmosphere! I wish all Mellow Mushrooms were this nice and bright! So much better than the "dive" look so many of the Mellow Mushrooms have.We had the sweetest server - I only saw her and a bar tender taking care of everyone. They did a great job! Food was wonderful and brought out by the owner! So glad that they have not succumb to the lack of staff and are providing excellent service and food. We will be back!
They are very short staffed as far as servers, but the one waitress available and the person bartending were great. The low rating is for everyone else working. There was a fully staffed kitchen laughing, going slow, having a great time with plenty of disgruntled patrons. This did not make it easier for the two people actually waiting on the customers. There is a sign when you walk in that says being short staffed is the NEW pandemic. Yes there may be some truth to that but hiring people who could care less about there job seems to be the problem for this establishment.
I am staying at the hotel across the street. This pizza is delicious! Fresh toppings and nice service. When I visit Montgomery, this place will be on my list.
It was my b-day and I went out with my family. There was a 20-30 min wait for a table. The table we got wasn't that clean or sturdy, it was very wobbly. The server was cordial and decent but she seemed to be overworked. Also the food order was brought out sporadically and inconsistently. I had 3 children with me and my husband. The kids food was brought out next to last and our appetizers were last to be brought out. Still had a nice time though ???.
The drinks from the bar were really good, the food was tasteful. The only 2 problems were my son got his food last like 10 minutes after mine and the floors were DIRTY, food and straw wrappers all over the place. I will go back but hopefully I just caught them on a day where they were a Lil busy.
This was my first and last trip to this location. Hostess was seemingly very unconcerned with providing a positive guest experience. Pizza was over cooked with unevenly portioned toppings. This was a carryout order and I had people waiting so I didn't refuse the pizza, but I will not be returning for more horrible service or food.
Gave one star as Google won't allow me to post with zero stars. Waited for seating on a Saturday evening as a third to half of the tables remained empty throughout the evening. Finally seated and brought food. No silverware and no napkin. Two of the three of us at the table proceeded to walk through the restaurant trying to get any employee's attention until we ended up having to raid the to-go area to find three plastic fork / plastic knife / napkin to-go packets. Not a single drink refill, as no one ever returned to the table. 45 minutes later, we spotted an employee and asked if anyone was going to bring the check. That led to further delay as the restaurant's employees then had a discussion whispering and pointing trying to decide which server had been to our table. NEVER AGAIN.
Mellow mushroom is in my top ten of pizza places for sure. The service is pretty good even though they’re pretty short staffed and they’re doing the best they can. Even with that being said, my waitress is the best every time I go. I go knowing I’ll get good food and service every time. Even the times they may slip up a little bit, they still have a good track record.
