We were driving home from Atlanta to Florida and stopped here on a whim and had a fabulous meal. And you must get the churros for dessert, they are amazing. Our waitress DeeDee was really great and we will be coming back for sure!
Great meal, super staff, good location. Price wise, a little on the higher end, but worth every bite. Our of Towner's looking for a good local restaurant, was the name that caught our attention. Well return on the next trip through.
I tried Little Donkey for the first time when they catered a social at my job. The corn tortilla tacos were amazing! The fact everything is made from scratch with no freezers or microwaves amazes me in an age where they’re so common. I’ve already eaten there twice since, and my favorite is the BBQ Taco. They’ll cook your order how you want, and the homemade food is just plain awesome! I’m going to come back again and again!
Delicious food. Decent wait time. We have kids and they loved coloring the masks until the food came. The kids asked to come back. They enjoyed the kids meal with smoked chicken legs. Not authentic Mexican but very tasty Mexican inspired dishes. The atmosphere is kinda modern with an r&b and indie rock musical playlist.
FINALLY some homemade flour tortillas!! Some of the best fajitas I’ve had in a long time. Small negative initial experience though getting seated. The restaurant was very empty at 6pm and I didn’t see a host so as I went to sit down I was somewhat scolded and told to wait. The hostess also didn’t seem very enthused when I told her it would just be me. Glad she wasn’t my server… other than that the food was great and I will definitely be back the next chance I get!
The food here is horrible. Under seasoned and who serves nachos that swim in water??? Better off at Taco Bell before eating here. Way overpriced. Food taste doesn’t match the price list.
Normally, I don’t give four stars on a first visit but Little Donkey deserved it. Ian was our waiter and was wonderful. From being friendly, to recommendations, to refills he is one of the best servers I’ve ever met. The food was fresh, and delicious let me just tell you. This place takes pride in their work. Don’t forget to try the margarita with Prosecco, YUM
Y'all. This place was amazing! From the fresh salads to the spicy pork tacos.. to the spice on the juicy fried chicken (what?) everything was super flavorful. The waiter had that genuine southern hospitality charm and and offered great recommendations. The masks are the kid's coloring pages with their menu on the otherside. And with beautifully crafted cocktails? Yes please!
Very nice staff. Very informative of the menu. Motown/adult contemp/jazz style music playing throughout the restaurant. All the furniture is hard plastic seat but are not cheap. Heavy duty and the tables are all wood. No booth seating. Gives it a little more class. Seeing this more and more in our area. The menu is on par with like restaurants as far as price. You can spend $20 or you spend $100 depending on the menu and the fully stocked bar.
Little Donkey is an interesting restaurant. The fried chicken tacos are the best taco variety. The brisket quesadilla was really good. Salsa is different but good. Churros were good. Servers were very friendly and fairly quick with the food.
