Very upscale/romantic ambience. The host and waitstaff were consummate professionals- they know great service. The plated dishes were beautiful.Our issue was the taste- nothing remarkable. Big prices, which befit the whole experience, until you take a bite. No wow factor…just ok tasting. Maybe come here for drinks with a date- but don’t count on the beef carpaccio or seafood pasta wowing you.
La jolla is my favorite American style restaurant in montgomery. I come here all the time especially when they add something new to the menu. Most of the food is cooked on a giant green egg. You can't go wrong with anything on the menu. The staff is great Michael, David, Lisa, Steve, Daminan, and Sam to name a few always make you feel welcome.
Best meal in the Montgomery area! We had a large group but service was fast and everything was delicious. We started with lamb chops, frog legs, tuna nachos, lobster bisque and bruschetta. Pork chops, steaks, gumbo and chicken entrees were all perfect. And they have a great bar with creative as well as classic cocktails.
The atmosphere is nice for a date night or just to hang with friends. I ordered the lamb chops along with the Artisan Lettuce and Fried Goat Cheese salad, which were DELICIOUS!!! They were seasoned very well. We also experienced great service even though we had a large group. If you have a group I do recommend making a reservation. We were seated immediately upon arrival (at our reservation time). Glasses were refilled and orders taken at a timely manner. The waitress kept checking on us and no one in our party had a complaint.
I was hosting an out of town business party and had read reviews for La Jolla so decided to take them to La Jolla. Let me tell you they did not disappoint! Our server David was knowledgeable about all the menu items and made great suggestions. I'm vegan and the kitchen went out of their way to make me an off the menu entre and it was AMAZING. Everyone in the party raved about their meals. I would definitely recommend La Jolla to anyone looking for delicious food, great ambiance, and friendly staff. I will definitely be back!!
Great dinner and service. The lamb chops were excellent and Adriana was a superb waitress.
Love the food, and the cocktails. I also really like our bartender Cody. I did have a little bit of an issue with I assume the other bartender Steve. I felt that he was rude to me, and also did not want to serve me. I do admit that we had been driving all day with 3 dogs, and maybe at that point looked maybe like we didn't belong there, but it was late, and we really love the food there. Maybe he should take a class in customer service.
La Jolla is a Montgomery staple, I first ate here at the original location at the Shoppes At Eastchase. Love the new La Jolla’s more intimate space. This visit we shared the tuna nachos and chicken skins appetizers. I ordered the salmon piccata and my husband ordered the limited edition burger. The burger changes every week, this one had elk, duck, and bison mixed together. We both were quite satisfied.
It was my first visit and we came for dinner. The Salmon was delicious, but my real highlight for the evening was the Tuna Nachos. They were absolutely delicious. Will definitely be returning.
They finally changed some of their menu items! the food is good, the wait staff good, but no staff were wearing masks when I visited about 4 weeks ago. UNACCEPTABLE! Also, there was no social distancing. Will not return.According to your reply, are you saying you need to be mandated to do the right and smart thing!
