Friendly staff and the food was wonderful

My first time having hibachi and it was fantastic! Our chef was very entertaining, wish I would have gotten his name. Food was amazing as well. I would definitely recommend.

As the economy is opening up and Montgomery citizens are making every effort to patronize local businesses, I was utterly appalled at the disrespectful behavior of the hostess at Kobe working the evening shift. Although I was taken aback by the handwritten sign on the door indicating a 18% gratuity for parties of 6 or more, which in my opinion, would discourage patrons from dining in; my family and I still made an attempt to patronize the business. However, as all but one person in our party of 12 had arrived at the restaurant, the hostess still insisted she could not seat us. This would have been fine except there were only six other patrons in the entire restaurant and our party remained seated in the lobby. To add insult to injury, we witnessed people walking in and going to a table while the hostess all but threatened us stating if we had additional guests to arrive, they “would not be able to be seated” with us. This was one of the most absurd things I have ever heard. When a request was made to speak to a manager, the nasty-attitude having hostess, rolled her eyes and mumbled under her breath. In all my years of eating at restaurants in Montgomery, I have NEVER encountered such an unprofessional, ill-equipped staff member. As a leader, I can’t see how there would be any way possible that she should be allowed to continue to work for this business. This was the absolute worst experience I have ever had at Kobe and what made it worse is that it was my daughter’s birthday. Needless to say, we took our money across the street to Walk Ons and received wonderful service from staff who acted like that came to work to serve those who walked through their doors.

No wait time, which was perfect as I wanted to have a nice dinner with my youngest daughter. She loved the service, and the food was great. I will recommend the margaritas; they were on point with the food.

Food was fresh you may wait a little when first seated i guess because of prep but everything was good?

This is probably my least favorite hibachi grill I've ever been to. The chef was pretty boring and the food tasted like mall food court hibachi drenched in butter and teriyaki sauce. The sushi wasn't good at all; the salmon on top was pretty much pureed mush, not a slice of salmon. Not a fan of the restaurant.

the food was great the service was great and the waitress was great

The staff is very friendly and have alotta personality esp the cooks at the grills. They do all kinds of neat tricks to keep you entertained while you're waiting for your food to cook. It's always very classy and they do a little song and drum for birthdays. Hot Sake is pretty interesting yet good and the drinks were pretty good as well. Def recommend going there for dinner or a date there's always good family type vibes. Great Choice for Hibachi style food ??

My family and I went in today for lunch 1.5hrs before close. We went for hibachi and unfortunately was informed they shut the grill down and only offered seating. There were maybe 4 seated tables total. Our server was the most pushy I’ve experienced. She informed us we had to order everything at one time because they were trying to leave at 2pm. The food was unflavored, rushed, and in some cases beyond over cooked. I ordered filet+ shrimp and it was very apparent they used previously frozen shrimp drenched in a sauce, filet 100% unflavored not even salt. I was served nigiri with no chopsticks, after waiting literally 5 mins I went to retrieve some from the bar. We had multiple requests for refills that weren’t honored. When I complained about the food and requested a remake our serve informed me the kitchen was closed and wouldn’t be able to fix the meal nor remove it from the bill. Needless to say I wasn’t happy, and the experience fell extremely short of any hibachi I’ve experienced. $82 worth of food left on the table due to the severity in lack of quality. To top it off they force a 15% gratuity on all dine in orders regardless of service experience. Will most definitely recommend against for a genuine Hibachi experience.

I arrived at this restaurant at the start of their dinner service. I came in and, as a disabled person, I needed to be seated at a table with a pull out chair. I was seated at a 6-person table next to the entrance and immediately felt uncomfortable. I ordered and the food I got was actually quite good. As demand for this 6-person table started to increase, I felt like the staff just wanted to get rid of me. Still, I was enjoying the food and placed a second order for an eel roll, which was also quite tasty.I would have actually stayed longer and spent more money, but the tension I was feeling from the staff as time went on made it so uncomfortable that I just left.My issue here is, yes, I came in as a customer with a special need, but I never asked to be placed at such a large table. I could have been seated at a much smaller table that wouldn't have been in such demand. That would have made a lot of difference.
