Last 2 times I’ve ordered from here for work it my order has been 15-30 minutes late. I call in order for 4 people 45 minutes in advance. When I arrive it’s never ready. If you get a manager involved they get it done. Seems they are always understaffed and behind. It’s a good thing my customers like it because I wouldn’t choose o order from them again.
The service and food at Jim n Nick's have worsened over the years but today was horrible. If I could, I would rate my visit a zero. I can't believe the burnt meat and nasty potato salad I received today came from a restaurant that I once loved so much. The owner needs to pay an anonymous visit to the location. The wait was at least 25 to 30 minutes in the Drive-Thru. It took me 20 minutes holding on phone to actually get someone to pick up to share my concern about the food. I was told that the manager was too busy to answer the phone.
The ribs and sides were very good and the establishment looked very nice, clean and pleasant. Our server was nice and pleasant but not attentive enough to her tables. We had to ask her for too many things that would have made our visit more enjoyable. I'll just attribute it to her being new. The other issue of concern was the brisket soup. The flavor was alright but the texture was way off. The brisket itself was nothing but the ends of fat. Not a single piece of center cut meat. I simply didn't eat it because it wasn't what I expected. I've had brisket soup before and this didn't even come close to what I'm used to. I'm not totally dissatisfied, so I'm willing to give this establishment another visit.
My daughter and I had a wonderful time eating and conversing with each other over a late lunch. Food was great!
Excellent first visit! The ribs were delicious as was the cornbread, corn, coleslaw and collard greens. Hubby and I were passing through after attending a wedding in Missouri and were happy we stopped in. The waitress was very friendly and service was quick.
Awesome food. Kinda slow but they were very busy, the food made up for it. Loaded potato, burgers and BBQ sandwiches are all good. Plus they gave my son a free drink ?? check em out
I went to the dri-thru to order 2lb of barbecue ribs with two sides. I choose a side of potatoe salad and baked beans. I also ordered a slice of lemon box pie and a large sweet tea. I choose the Habanera and regular Jommie Nick's Barbecue Sauce. The driv thru was crowded but the line moved fast as it could. Customer Service was great and everything was in the bag neatly. Food is always good especially the potatoe salad and ribs.
After almost a year of not going because the quality of their food changed. Ribs that were too burned to eat I got an actual had delicious succulent ribs of old. If they keep up the good work they may once again become a staple I'm our home.
You have to love the consistency of Jim N Nicks. I love finding them outside of Alabama because in a way I get to visit home. Coming to this one was no exception while on a business trip back to my home state. I love their BBQ, the service is always good, even when they are short staffed, and you have to try white BBQ sauce at some point in your life.
I’m a very picky eater & I just moved to the area and heard a lot of good reviews about this place and the food definitely lived up to my expectations… The pulled chicken was tender and juicy and both the baked beans and Mac & cheese surpassed my foodie obsession and the cheese biscuits where fresh and good ? Will definitely have to visit this place more frequently lol They even where quick to replace my to go order after a mix up with what I wanted ? Definitely will recommend & will be back on the regular
