Stopped by on our way to Florida. Great find. Food was the best we had for our entire vacation. We stopped back on the way home and we met the owner. She was super sweet and made is feel at home. Best two meals for a week of traveling. ?
I don't know how the reviews are so good. They are what made me try this restaurant but apparently those people don't know good soul food. It's a NO for me. Save your money and your taste buds ?
This place was absolutely amazing. The owner engaged with the customers. She was very friendly and her spirit was beautiful. Her son and the rest of the staff were just as friendly as she was. I will eat there again if I went back to Montgomery.
A small “hole-in-the-wall” that does made-to-order meals. Very friendly staff right off of the 65-85 interchange outside Montgomery.
My experience was great and the food was wonderful
Wonderful food, we had a little of everything. (Wings, fish, port chops, Mac N cheese, collard greens, black eyed peas, fried okra, pecan pie and peach cobbler) lol of course we have left overs. Our granddaughter told the lovely lady there, that this was the best soul food restaurant she has ever been to. We definitely agree. This place is a must try.
My family was in town for a funeral and we were referred here. The food was AMAZING!! Soul food at its finest!! We tried All the sides and everything was so good! My Mom's favorite was the catfish!!

A Wonderful friendly courteous people, best customer service ever. Food was delicious I had the ox tail and gravy. Of course I ordered takeout also fried chicken wings was delicious. We came to Montgomery this past weekend to visit the museum and for the walk in Selma. We wanted some soul food and found this restaurant. Everybody loved their food and the customer service was so amazing. My children and fiancé had fried chicken with sides of black eye peas and Mac and cheese they had no complaints and I had the catfish nuggets with a side of Mac and cheese and green beans I also had no complaints loved it. I recommend this place to anyone looking for some good soul food. I will visit again thank you for your service!!!
