I researched restaurants as we were planning to visit family in Montgomery. Everything the previous reviewers said was pretty accurate. The lobby where you wait to be seated wasnât air conditioned and was relatively hot. The hostess was all over the place and appeared to be handling multiple responsibilities (not his fault). Once seated, 15-20 mins went by before we decided to get up and ask the concierge who would be serving us. Shortly after, a waitress stopped by and said sheâd be with us soon. Another 5-10 went by before she came back to get our drink and food order. Again, they appeared to be understaffed so not her fault. The food was relatively bland. We ordered multiple appetizers (fondue & deviled eggs) and they all lacked flavor. The entrees were seasoned slightly better (two different salmon options), meaning Iâd rate them a 5/10. Overall, I wouldnât go back. It felt like they were greatly understaffed and the food wasnât good. On our way out, we noticed Bonefish Grill which would have been a better option.
Brent took care of our table and did a wonderful job
The air conditioner was not working in the waiting area. We had reservations for 6:45p.m. We arrived at 6:45 and was checked in. There were several people waiting to be seated. There were people who had reservations at a later time than us, but they were seated before us because they arrived before us. We questioned the hostess and she said they arrived before us. We asked what was the purpose of making reservations, if you were still going to seated according the time you arrive. There were two couples who did not have reservations and came in after us, but were seated before us. The hostess was very unorganized.
Arrived at table. One of the plates on the table had ketchup all over the bottom of it. It took at least 10 minutes before we were greeted. Bar drinks took at least 20 minutes to arrive. Ordered potato soup, got a baked potato. Asked for no tomatoes or onions on pasta, got tomatoes and onions on pasta. A bar drink that was ordered wasnât available bc they didnât have the mix. But we waited 20 minutes for them to tell us that and then had to order another drink and wait again. For the prices of the drinks and food, the experience should have been better.
We were visiting the area of Montgomery. We dine @ the Hoover, Alabama location often so we know the food quality & expectations. The ranch rings came on a half piled dinner plate. We had to stop the runner who brought the appetizer to ask for plates. My husband asked if I needed a handsaw to cut my steak. Our daughter got the Filet mignon. It was flattened & burnt. We both couldnât eat our steaks. We should have sent it all back, but with reservations we had already waited 30 minutes due to overbooking issues. We didnât want to be there any longer. Host was doing his very best. We wasted 140.00. We will not take our chances at this location again.
Waitress kept getting lost
It was wonderful.
Reservation at 1. Seated late. Appetizer came before our drinks. Had to ask for drinks. Server not accommodating. Food not hot. Table was sticky.
Really enjoyed the food. The waitress was very nice.
There was a chirping sound every few min due to a battery they needed to replace for alarm. Heard a wait staff even say that another customer thought there was a bird in the restaurant. Food was subpar, my husband said his scalloped potatoes tasted old and I got fruit with my dish that came with extremely hard cantaloupe and mushy strawberries. Will probably not go back for dinner, but may try lunch there sometime to see if itâs better.
