Fantastic homestyle cooking! Quick for lunch, awesome little store with lots of alcohol options. Their fried fish batter was amazing and the cheesy broccoli was amazing. Definitely coming back!
Hands down the best family owned restaurant. They treat you like family and make sure you are always taken care of. I can not express how great this place and people are!
Because it is busy you can assume it is good and fresh. The food was actually very good, fresh and of large portions. The meat choices were of great quality. We had a slice of the caramel cake. Very, very good. You can buy cakes to take home. I purchased half a red velvet cake and half a butternut to take home to family. They were very impressed. The meal is an excellent value for the quality.
Food is delicious. Parking can be a hassle but is well worth it. Staff is very friendly. I take my wife to lunch there often and she even brings it home for dinner. So yeah, it's good stuff!

I've stopped twice at Derks when driving through Montgomery. IMO, it's worth the brief detour. Best Reuben sandwich I've had in AL! If deli food isn't your vibe, they also have a 'meat & 3" type menu. Our group also meandered through their extensive craft beer section and found lots to like, for me a six pack of "Sweet Baby Jesus." They had outside seating. The service was excellent. I don't recall if they had marked COVID distancing, but it was not crowded and was easy to socially distance. There were lots of locals who were clearly regular customers. I understand why!
