It had a cool spooky deserted vibe, like the workers totally checked out. Two lone sailors captained the ship tonight, and the gruel was great sustenance on our after midnight voyage. We sacrificed a good bit to our bird friends in the Waffle House parking lot next door; they blessed us with safe travels out of there.
They have great shakes, service is good but they rush you slot if you are not familiar with their menu. A lot of young people had a problem with my hamburger not cooked enough but Manager was very nice about handling the problem..
Did not have an enjoyable time here. The drive-thru person was rude and rushing me. Didn't give me proper change or what I asked for. Will not be going again.
I had a whole bug in my drink and I just tried to call I didn’t get no response this is awful and highly unacceptable. Cookout haven’t been here long enough for reviews like this ! I can’t get the thought out my head it was a whole bug in my drink? pitiful just straight up sad Blasphemy!!!! I wish I could give no stars?
I've heard of cookout from friends that live in the bay area and figured why not try it. Overall the food was good, and pretty much what I'd expect from a restaurant based in South Carolina and specializing in "cook out" food. I'd probably get it again if I were in the area....but the reason behind the 3 stars is honestly the menu and ordering process. I just wanted to get a burger some fries and a drink and just trying to figure out how to accomplish that, in a drive through on what seemed to be a busy night was more of a headache than it needed to be.
Just don’t come here. Very unprofessional environment. Pan handlers outside begging for food and money. As I’m writing this, I’ve already been waiting about 30 minutes on my very simple order. I hope they don’t mess it up. This is by far one of the worst establishments I have ever been to and will never come back here. I don’t know what to recommend in the area, but I do recommend not to come to this place. Very ghetto.
The hard-working, friendly staff here are bringin bangin burgers and slingin stellar shakes! Don't pass this up if you are just passing through, and be grateful for it if you live here! No other Zelda road establishment works as hard or as kindly to get your hangry self some good fresh food for a good price. The drive thru can be slow sometimes; this is a good time to practice mindful patience. Remember: you are the only impatient person you will meet in the drive thru. The people inside working for you will meet all of them. Take a breath and wait quietly for that magnificent milkshake, fam!
I was disappointed with the quality of the items I chose on this visit. When they first opened, it seems to me that the costs were lower and the quality was excellent. The longer they've been there the pricing has increased and the taste have changed for the worse. I'm sorry that this has happened as this is the only place that is open late night in Montgomery. I have changed my choices several times trying to find something that tastes good and I'm running out of things to try next. The barbecue chicken sandwich was delicious at first and now the bread is wet and soggy. The chopped pork barbecue sandwich with coleslaw is what I switched to and tonight the meat tasted old and had a peculiar taste that wasn't pleasant at all. Please do something to make sure that the quality of the food is consistently good every time.
Notably, this place has fair food if you’re hungry. However, I do not believe that it is worth the wait or the poor customer service you have to go through to get it. I cannot recall a time I have been there and got the correct amount of food as well as the food I requested in general. The wait is ungodly, I promise you will sit at the ordering speaker with no response for over 15 minutes let alone waiting on the food itself. Absolutely horrible place to dine, needs to be closed down completely or re-staffed. ??
I can only talk about the shakes, but they are great. More like icecream with toppings mixed in, but cheap and delicious. They're a little slow but to be honest for the price pretty worth it!
