Excellent service delicious food
Folks this is a really iconic place. Don’t go here expecting some fancy restaurant with valet parking, tablecloths and waiters in white. But If you want some good fried seafood or ice cold oysters on the half shell and a laid back atmosphere with a view of the river then yes. This is what we call a dive but it’s not a derogatory term it’s just what it is. We had raw then po-boys. You cannot go wrong. Sit out back on the porch. This is a great stopping point if you’re headed south to the beach. Decent service and good food.We will definitely be going back.UrbanCowgillMay 2022
I love sundays at the oyster bar. Best place to hang and listen to great blues music. Food is wonderful and as you can see from the photos I think the shuckers hire the band for their entertainment and we just get to enjoy it on their behalf.
Came here twice in one weekend while visiting. Awesome waterfront location, ice cold beer, and fresh seafood! Both the raw and steamed oysters were perfect. The patio has a view of the Alabama river and is dog friendly. If we are ever back in Montgomery we will be here 100 percent.
We loved the seating and the views of the river. The Bartender was amazing and her drinks were excellent. Our waitress was very friendly and helpful -But- We waited over an hour for our food and the food was cold when it came out, the cook sent out the wrong orders and after everything we were over charged.
I've been in love with them since they were located on the service road near Court St. The food has only gotten better (which is saying a lot). Service is always great. Last two times my boyfriend and I went, we left with new 'friends'. Great times
Start of the meal was decent. Drinks were served quickly. Order taking was slow. Two refills later we received out "starter". We waited another 45 minutes for food, which had to be "located" Our order was given to another couple seated near us 45 MINUTES LATER. Only apologies we received were from the waitress. No manager came to see us, nor any compensation was offered. We won't return. Spent TOO MUCH money on a meal for a special occasion that was ruined.
Excellent gumbo, grilled Catfish with crawfish cream sauce, fried okra and marinated Coleslaw. Excellent scenery, service is impecable, food is delicious.
