They wasted over an hour of my life when I have more than enough bartending experience when I applied to be a bartender online to have me come in and tell me they start hiring as servers. No matter the experience. That needs to be on the application. I never applied to be a server and I'm not working for no $4/hr with tips. The energy in here is so weird too. The men are very disrespectful and way too friendly. The male bartender and manager was practically rubbing himself over the fact I bartended at strip clubs. That is the only reason he interviewed me. As far as I live you know I didn't apply to be a server. They most definitely have roaches too.
I like eating the food there, but I wish they would look at your online order closer, because they seem to leave something out EVERY TIME. So because I can basically feed me and my 4 children from the 2 For $24 menu, I hope for the best on my return visit. ??♀️
Never going back again. Jakayla’s customer service was awful as a waitress (bad attitude and didn’t give us a straw or ask if we needed anything while we ate. And the greeter didn’t even actually greet us. She just said “you want a booth or at able for two. She also wasn’t in place. We had to wait for her to finally walk up. (This was at around 5:15 pm on May 13, 2022)
This review is NOT about the food, This review is about the generous act of kindness that was shown to me yesterday. After I came out of the restaurant yesterday, my car would not start:,( . I called my husband but there was no answer, so I went back into the restaurant to asked for the manager. The waitresses was very polite. She went to get the manager for me. I told him that my car wouldn't start & I needed help, he asked if I needed him to jump start my car? I said YES PLEASE!!! He said, "I'll meet you out front!! He attempted to jump start my car several times!!! However it didn't start:( he was very kind, patience and helpful!! The lady from Advance Auto Parts Store just up the street sent her husband to help me!!! Mr. Godby allowed them to use his personal tools that was in his car to remove my battery.ALL ARE ANGELS FROM GOD!!!Mr. Godby came outside for a second because we thought we needed another jump.THE MANAGER NAME IS MR. BRANDON "GOD"BYHe's the manager at the Applebee's at 3195 Taylor Road, MontgomeryPLEASE LET'S SUPPORT THIS RESTURANT BECAUSE THEY CARE ABOUT PEOPLE!!!
Stopped in about 12:30 PM Sunday May 1st at the Applebee's in Montgomery on Taylor rd. . There were 4 at our table... We all ordered a drink and an appetizer.... While we were waiting on the drinks I noticed a family of 4 come in and be seated.... Before we ever received our drinks I noticed that family already had drinks and appetizers.... We finally received our drinks and I just happen to be facing that direction and notice the family were already receiving their meals.... Before we ever got our 1st meal that family had already eaten and left the restaurant... There were only 5 or 6 tables of folks in there at any given time... Well.... an hour had passed and we finally started receiving our food.... well.... 3 of us did.... we waited and waited and finally just gave up on the other plate and shared what we had.... we had been there 2 hours by then and they brought my friend's plate out... We told them to cancel of course... The waiter said he would have to get a manager... We told him please..... The food that we received wasn't terrible..... The service was biased and probably the worst I have ever received at any restaurant. I am not sure if it was racially motivated or the fact that we were all on Bikes.. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone!!!
Best restaurant experience I've had in a long time! Our server was Kwan and she killed it 130%! She remembered our order without pen and paper! She checked on us all the time and made sure we were taken care of! Food was great but she made the best experience!
Had our meal delivered by Waitr last night. We had steak and ribs. Food could have been warmer so we used the microwave. Steak was a little tough in spots but was still good. I also had broccoli which was cooked to perfection. My wife had the ribs with the sauce on the side. I would have preferred the sauce cooked with the ribs as the ribs looked like a rub was added.
My husband and I decided to visit Applebees on Taylor Rd this pass Saturday and I was really excited about eating out because it’s been a minute. I’ll start by saying my waitress was Great but when she brought my Bourbon chicken with shrimps on top and broccoli in a skillet that’s when the visit want down hill, the chicken was dry and Tough, shrimp 4 only was rubbish and the few broccoli they gave with the meal was burn ( how do you burn broccoli smh). Yes I called for Management and the first thing he said was ( Tell me what’s wrong with the meal) as if it wasn’t Obvious even Steven Wonder would’ve seen this mess was not fixed properly; but I did what anyone would and explain the best I could in the most proper voice I could because at this point I was upset. The Manager finally Acknowledge the broccoli were burned and said that it should not have been put in the skillet it should’ve been placed a long side the skillet in a separate bowl and he asked if he could prepare another meal or give me a Free dessert ( No the meal was not offer for free just the dessert) he said that way my husband wouldn’t have to eat alone ( I denied it) and I watch my husband patiently. When he finished we paid heard more apologies then left my night was ruined all because Management wouldn’t say because we served this horrible meal to you we will either give you a free meal or your next meal will be on the house for our mistake No he wants to give a free dessert really( I am dieting and I didn’t want dessert I wanted my meal cooked right). Applebee’s please help your managers make better decisions next time or take them back to training because his training wasn’t displayed this time. And the cook needs training again before this happen to someone Important ( Since I wasn’t important enough and my time was of no value).Training is needed at Taylor Rd Applebees.
A dinner that was supposed to be limited in sound and relaxing turned to be showtime at the Apollo. One of the servers to DJ long wolf on the 1's and 2's blasting music so loud that me and my girl had to talk over the sound. You can tell it was personal as it was B side tunes rather than what you would normally hear in a place of business. Besides that the food was ok but the Ribeye lack juiciness that you look for in a well marbled steak. Don't believe I'll ever go back
Shawn is the greatest bartender ever! Even at their busiest she is attentive to all customers and resolves issues quickly and efficiently. That Applebee's is a must stop whenever I'm in Montgomery and Shaun is there
