We decided to try a new spot and we were wanted Chinese. This was had no one in there and suddenly when we got sat, a bunch of customers started flooding in. We ordered about 4 dishes along with soups. Egg drop soup was different, it had other veggies in there which I wasn’t a fan of. My favorite was probably the braised pork belly, full of flavor and sauce. I wasn’t a fan of their roasted duck, I won’t order that again. We did order a main dish where she forgot to put it, she did apologize but we were getting full. I’d give this place another shot, hopefully she gets our order placed correctly.
OMG!! This place is simply amazing!! Jojo and her staff took really good care of us!! Jojo is so sweet and they make sure to cook good, seasoned, delicious food!! Please visit this restaurant because they are a wonderful example of a great business and great customer service! We ordered a lot of food and as soon as the dumplings came out we had to eat one so our picture is 1 dumpling short because they were so good lol. We will be back again!!❤️
I've want3d to try Yuan Mei ever since I took a look at their menu and saw their many unique options! There is such a variety and several dishes I've never seen offered at other restaurants throughout Mobile. The Kimchi Clay Pot for two was delicious and so much food for the price! I think I've found a new regular spot and can't wait to come back for more!
Usually very punctual with getting food out and good service especially from the owner who is just wonderful. Favorite Chinese place in town, and my favorite lo mein I’ve ever had.
By far the best ever in Mobile and I’ve lived here for 50 years. Spring rolls and steamed dumplings are my favorite but it is all great!!!!!
Easily the BEST Chinese restaurant in town, hands down! Their menu is full of authentic dishes that are so full of flavor. This is NOT the kind of place you come to order overly sweet sesame chicken & never spicy General Tso’s made out of frozen nuggs - if you’re looking for that mess, stick with your usual take-out spot. With dishes like twice cooked spicy pork, triple Mongolian, boiled beef in hot oil…they’re not playing around here. The staff is very helpful if you can’t decide what to get. If you’re looking for something different & want an authentic experience, then give this place a try.
Drove from across town to give it a try for them to say they are doing To Go Only, it would have been nice to have that posted somewhere before waste of time and gas
The Kung Pao chicken was okay but not spicy even with a request to be spicy. The Mongolian beef was about 3 oz of beef and a ton of onions. Not very good at all. I won’t go here again.
Closes on a whim. Ordered online and drove out to pick up order to find out they closed down with no explanation. According to their paper calendar taped on door, they should have been open today.
It's not bad and the place is well appointed. I was expecting to see more noodle dishes on the menu, but from what I experienced, it looks like a typical Chinese kitchen menu with some noodle offerings. The menu is large and I think it suffers from offering too much of everything (it's easy to get overwhelmed reading it) vs. a smaller menu that showcases the specialities. I can get Generals Tso's chicken anywhere, I wanted to see what made this place different. I think the noodle dishes should be front and center.I came in to try some Chow Fun noodles and it wasn't bad, but I felt the sauce was thin-- I wanted something darker more robust. I didn't see any bean sprouts in my dish, but the beef, chicken and shrimp were tasty and cooked well.I wanted to order some chicken wings as an appetizer, but with only one other couple eating in at the time, I was told 20-25 minutes for a cook time.I am sure they will find their footing soon and next visit will be better.
