April took amazing care of us! Made some awesome recommendations. Food came out in good pace, fresh and hot! Also had dessert! Well worth the stop!
Had blackened red snapper and it was delicious. Great service for a thirsty crew. Historic restaurant, so interesting to see for that. Quotes all over the place!
Came for lunch on a blazing hot Saturday and it was pretty warm inside the establishment.We started with a tall modelo and the chargrilled oyster sampler. Had to pick several shards of shell from my mouth. Too much toppings on the oysters for my taste. Once you got some of the topping off you could tell the oysters were very fresh and really good size.The wife and I split the fried J.O. Platter. It was a very large portion. Everything was really well cooked. I thought the scallops were great and the wife enjoyed the shrimp but we both agreed the white fish fillet was the best part of the plate, The hush puppies and okra was good as well as the dirty rice. The weak spot was the stuffed crab, no crab taste just wet stuffing in a shell.
Hanna was awesome with great customer service and brought the food out so as to not crowd the table hot and delicious. Would definitely come back and sit in her area.
Friendly service food was delicious recommend the bacon wrapped shrimp the fried green tomatoes were perfectly fried & the hot chocolate brownie was devine!
We went on a Tuesday night and had a 30 minute wait. That is usually a good sign of a quality restaurant. We took some co-workers from out of town to a local institution. The fried platter was lightly battered and very tasty. The scallops and oysters on the platter were huge. The snapper fillet was a little overcooked but still tasty. Would go back when entertaining tourists to the area.
No wait time, my waiter was one of the best I have had in awhile. My waitress was very professional and polite. They really appreciate veterans too, before I forget if you have the little ones with you. I can say from the look on my son's face, he loved his food.
We struggled finding a good place to eat, being from out of town, until we found Wintzell’s oyster House!! The food is amazing!! Good atmosphere, wish we would have realized there was outdoor seating before we left. You have to get the oyster sample platter if you have never been!!

We were told this restaurant is a must in Mobile. It did not disappoint. We had an amazing waitress Jennifer. We had the low country boil in a bag and the red beans and rice. Both amazing and lots of food!!! Prices are great!!!
