I came from out of town for Mardi Gras and that was the most pissed-off unfriendly staff ever. Better Bars. Avoid at all cost
We found this bar when the conference we were at most attendees went there. It was a fun place, live music on some nights and an interesting crowd. They have a good selection of beer. Knocking one star off because one night the bathrooms were absolutely disgusting and the staff was hard to even flag down, people were taking to whistling and oddly that wasn't the busiest night. We went three nights and the other two were great.

Ok, so my experience was pretty underwhelming. The live music while I was there wasn't very good, but I also think it was a new group trying out the bar. Also my drink was WAY TO STRONG. I feel like I could have lit my drink on fire and it was just a casual little mixed drink similar to a screwdriver.

Today my husband and I decided to take our company from out of town to Veets. We’ve always enjoyed Veets. Today, I couldn’t have been more embarrassed. The sign said the manager was “Gina Jo”. Well, Gina Jo was the most rude bar tender I have ever come across. My friend is disabled , so we had a harnessed service dog with us. Gina Jo told us there were no dogs allowed and that it didn’t matter if it was a service dog. My friends husband explained that it was law for service dogs and eventually had to pull up the ADA site to prove a dog was allowed. After that, she pretty much slammed our drinks down and not once, did she ask if we needed anything else. We paid for our drink and went down the street to another business where we were treated kindly. Very disappointed in Veets. Not the place it used to be. Won’t be back.
Love the people here. Everyone is so friendly and Gina Jo is the hottest bartender around.
