Be aware when ordering stuff flounder. Stuffed flounder will have enough stuffing inside of the fish but fish they are using is already has been filleted and barely had any meat on the fish. Might as well call them stuffed bone fish might be accurate. Flavor wise it was ok, I was just disappointed to pay over 20 something dollars for stuffed bone fish and not getting the whole or even half of the fish. Will not be going back. Also try to void gumbo.
Wow! What a place! Very welcoming staff, and amazing po-boys!I was passing through Mobile on a business trip and decided to give this place a shot, and I'm thrilled that I did. I was hesitant to order a half shrimp poboy, as I was feeling hungry, so I ordered a side of gumbo as well. I was shocked when the sandwich came out! Absolutely massive portions for the price, and amazingly delicious. I cannot really comment on the gumbo...I was too stuffed from the sandwich and half of the fries to try it. Guess I'll be having that for breakfast! Awesome job, Boiling Pot!!
This spot is a little gem. We went on a Saturday around 3 p.m and it wasn’t too busy. I love how big and spaced out the location is. All The food was fresh and delicious. I got the fish and grits with the hush puppies and the fries. The food was seasoned really well. My husband got the gumbo, it was delicious I tried it as well. Definitely recommend this place.
The Shrimp absolutely would not peel, the manager came out and argued with me saying that they were supposed to be that way and if she made me some more it would be the same way, eventually she did make us some more and it was equally as hard to peel, we ended up throwing nearly all of it away,,, if I had it to do over I would take my family and my $280 and go somewhere else… very disappointing to say the least
The food was phenomenal truly the best food I’ve had in a long time! I had the salmon and crawfish rice and pecan pie for dessert! Highly recommend giving this place a try!
Buyer beware!Staff at register does not know the price for items on menu only marked "market price". We were served over cooked boiled shrimp. They were literally the consistency of rubber.Also for dining in we were served the few pounds of shrimp in a metal pan propped up on a rectangular plastic serving tray. That's it. No plates, no silverware, nothing.We looked around an other customers had baskets with their food.I'll caution everyone I know from coming here. Thoroughly disappointed by the customer service and the product in which they are trying to sell.
Oh man! Check this place OUT! Seriously good food, good price, good staff! I recommend the fish with crab on it, the remulade is super and their key lime pie (I'm sure not made by them) is all delicious! Well worth a stop!
4⭐️- above average compared to other “fast” seafood placesI was going there for the boiled crawfish but it was sadly still out of season. We ended up getting the stuffed flounder and crab claws. We loved the stuffed flounder. It was alot of food for the price. Probably better if we ate it there si the fish was still crispy. The crab claws were average but good for the price. The gumbo was a no for me but you don’t really go there for the gumbo. Will try again next time we are inmobile.
