My husband and I both had The Judge Burrito Basket, it was pretty good. My husband got the Street Corn side, I got the Chili Lime Slaw. My husband said The Street Corn was great, I am not a fan of the coleslaw. You get plenty of chips with a basket, with salsa. The salsa had a little too much citrus & not enough peppers, so I just opted to eat my chips with the hot sauces available at table side. There was plenty of beer, on draft they had Dos Equiis & Pacifica, I passed went with a soda. They have a good margarita menu, I will have to try it out next time. A lot of high school age kids because we came at 3PM, lots of people sitting outside under the umbrellas. Servers were super nice, & our food came out quickly, faster then expected. I see a lot of people outside in the evening, it looks like a fun spot at that time. It is in Mid Town next to Rock N Roll Sushi, Lost Pizza in the Publix Shopping Center on Old Shell Road & Florida Street. Might come back to try the tacos & margaritas sometime.
Absolutely LOVE this place! Location (can’t beat Midtown) with friendly and attentive staff is a great setup for the delicious food they serve!Pictured is the Fat Boy burrito. My wife and I each ordered the same for date lunch but we customized them with the no additional cost quac, cilantro, jalapeños, etc.A huge fan of Taco Mama’s!!!
Good food, fast service, friendly staff
Me and my group of friends stopped here passing through on the way back from vacation, and we are all pretty disappointed when we found out that there are no Taco Mama restaurants in Texas. We do have similar places like Torchy's for example, but this place I feel like they got it right. When going for tex-mex food like this I generally want two things. I want a lot of food and I want it to be pretty cheap. This place does both of those things very well while using what seems like relatively fresh and clean ingredients. They didn't seem stingy with their food items and they were all delicious. To top it all off the service was fast even with the line out the door, and we still got drinks while waiting. I hope they come over to Texas pretty soon.
We stopped by a store, and some people from the area recommended Taco Mama for lunch. Absolutely amazingly friendly staff who were extremely helpful and patient with us while we ordered. In fact, we were greeted while waiting in line by a staff member who guided us through the menu. Food was absolutely delicious ?. There was nothing on the menu that we didn't like. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for some fast and yummy mexican food. We will definitely be back!
A must have if you're going to be eating downtown. You can taste every ingredient in their food, none of that generic everything is one mushy burrito taste.Great place.
Taco Mama is a decent Mexican place, far from authentic, but consistent. The food is pretty unremarkable but the margaritas are very good, and half off on Tuesdays. The only issue I've ever had is that the lines can get very long in the evenings, otherwise the service is good.
The only hardship eating at Taco Mama is trying to find a parking space. The dining experience was excellent from ordering, getting the order at our table under 10 minutes and the food was superb. Highly recommend dining with Taco Mama

The service and food here is delicious!! The owner makes it known customer service is top priority. I've been here during the day time & night...I've been when it's busy and slow the ladies are always nice and the owner always say hello if he gets a chance in between making drinks! I always get the shrimp tacos and my kids try different things when I take them. I some time eat alone and the staff are attentive to all customers the bathroom is clean and the margaritas can not compare to any other Mexican restaurants I visited I LOVE TACO MAMA !!
