Having browsed the Saturday morning market we stopped for brunch. Such friendly greetings and service, good choice of dishes on the menu. We opted for the veggie Benedict and wow was it good! Coffee refills kept in coming and it was so relaxing it was hard to tear ourselves away to continue our exploring this charming town.
The bacon was cooked to perfection, the eggs were spot on and the Belgium waffle with warm strawberries with syrup were magnificent.Staff was very friendly.I'll definitely be returning
It’s pretty crowded on a Sunday. We waited 30 minutes for a table. The food is good and good options available. There’s limited free street parking and also a parking lot in the back $5 for 5 hours. The service was great and waitress was attentive. It’s good food and service for brunch/lunch. I would say your typical menu.
This is the place to go to for brunch for myself and my circle of friends. I have enjoyed everything I have ever ordered from this menu, Eggs Benedict/cathedral, the Monte Cristo, the crabcakes/bisque (oh my gosh the best ever!), their salads, and of course their teas! The charming atmosphere, the history behind the building, the nice & diligent staff, the outdoor and even across the street seating along the city park, are you kidding me?! What’s not to love about this place filled with Southern charm and flavor?!
I have eaten here numerous times for breakfast and brunch. Today I decided to try lunch. I arrived after the lunch rush. I was able to get a seat outside with a view of Cathedral Park. The weather was terrific! I ordered the chicken salad plate, homemade chucks of white chicken and pecans with a mayo base. It came piled on a bed of salad greens. It was delicious and I could not eat it all. They serve some specialty items for breakfast/brunch, i.e. benedicts, waffles and such. Lunch menu is sandwiches, salads and some specialty soups. They also have a specialty iced strawberry tea. It is way too sweet for my liking but I don't drink sweet drinks. The service was good and it was a nice and relaxing meal.
Our waitress, Janie King, made our experience there amazing. We were from out of town and were just blown away by this young lady. She’s worth her weight in gold!
We had a decent brunch/lunch. The weather was nice sonwe sat outside. Our order was bananas fosters French toast, Ruben with side salad and eggs sausage and toast. French toast was amazing! Eggs and sausage plate was typical breakfast. My Ruben was delicious, old have used more sourkraut, my side salad was a little sad, lettuce was soft and wilted. Over all it was alright I would return to try something else. Customer service was great.
Overall, we liked this place. It was our first time here. The coffee was EXTREMELY over priced ($8 for the small cup in the picture). I had French toast with some bacon and my husband had a Belgian waffle with eggs and bacon. The food was good, nothing super special, though they do have some fancier menu items. Our waitress was excellent, very attentive and sweet.
This was my first time trying out this lovely place. My friend wanted to treat me to brunch at her favorite spot. I loved the atmosphere. Everything was amazing. I have nothing negative to report. We chose to dine out front. The food was delicious. Mimosas were great as well. I recommend ordering the pitcher. I will be back in the near future.
Had the Cajun omelet and dragon green tea. It was delicious!!
