I think this will be our last time ordering from Sonny's. I ordered the ribs and smoked chicken wings and have to say it wasn't very good. Ribs didn't have a lot of meat on them and the wings were so dried out they were hardly edible. Whoever packaged our meal (delivered by Uber) must have dipped their fingers in grease before touching every container, napkin, condiment in the bag.
I usually love this place food is always good and the servers are great. This go round I took my family here after a 12 hour work day. The server acted as if she didn't want to seat us take our order or serve us. I also had my infant child with us. While feeding her I broke a piece of chicken and a pool of blood came out. After at least 25 mins of the server not coming back to check on us I point it out and her response was..."oh do you want another piece"First ...you served me somethjng that could've made me or my family sick or worse...second you had no empathy or remorse ...third I get that sometimes you get people that don't tip or treat you bad but I have been in the service industry and I tip well above normal. I wasn't looking for a free meal or even a free piece of chicken, I just wanted exceptional service and maybe an apology for the kitchen nearly killing my family with bloody chicken. Again I love your restaurant but this most likely will be the end of our patronage.
I am very disappointed in the catering order that I received. I placed an order earlier in the week for my sons graduation dinner for enough half chickens to feed about 60 people which came out to 3 very large size pans. I’m not sure if they were not used to this size order or what. My pickup time was 11:30. We arrived to pickup around 12:45. I am guessing that this order was maybe rushed even after that because the chicken was slightly undercooked and light pink inside. We all know what undercooked chicken looks like! Now at the end of the dinner I am left with 2 very large full pans of half chickens because no one would eat it after discovering the first pan of pink chicken. Now I am out of money and stuck with chicken that can not be eaten and I am VERY disappointed and probably will not be returning. If I needed to wait a little longer for cooked chicken I would have had no problem with that as long as I was notified that it wasn’t ready yet.
My wife saw the promotion for the new Brisket Grilled Cheese Sandwich and wanted to give it a try while we were out running some errands. We arrived at about 5pm on a Monday evening and were seated promptly by Abigail who turned out to be our server.After perusing the menu, my wife ordered the Brisket Grilled Cheese Sandwich with BBQ beans and Okra as her sides. I ordered Sonny’s Sampler platter with dry rub ribs, pulled BBQ Pork, Macaroni and Cheese, white meat Chicken and sliced Brisket. My wife described her meal as “decent”. The star of the show of my meal was easily the dry rub ribs. They were tender and delicious. The pulled BBQ Pork was delicious if a little sweet. Sweet BBQ seems to be the local style, not necessarily a negative critique as much as an observation. The Macaroni and Cheese was flavorful but not exceptional. Unfortunately, the Chicken didn’t have much flavor and the brisket turned out to be a horror show. The brisket that arrived on my plate was flavorful but exceedingly dry. Abigail was kind enough to replace the brisket but instead of dry brisket, I received the gelatinous mess shown in the picture on the plate by itself.So what’s the bottom line here? Overall our experience wasn’t bad with the dry rub ribs, pulled pork and of course, Abigail our server as the saving Grace. I would definitely recommend the ribs and I would definitely suggest you skip the brisket unless your a fan of disappointment.
I brought my sister and boyfriend here for dinner and the server brought our drinks and asked us our order and we all wanted to order brisket but when we went to order the server said they were out of brisket at 6pm on a Thursday night so we all found something else. My sister and I got the baby back ribs and my boyfriend got the pulled pork. My sweet potato was so burn it was black on the inside and the beans tasted old. I'll definitely be going to Moe's next time.
If you get Christine as your server everything will be awesome. Your order will be right and great service. If you get Tyler as a server, get up and walk out. Even after the manager got involved he kept screwing everything up
Everything was great until we placed a to go order for banana pudding. We saw a server deliver nice sized portions to another table and decided we needed it. We got home and later looked in the bag with the pudding. The tiniest styrofoam container they make was what we got. Not happy. We spent $70 to be cheated on the desert.

I love sonny's and will always love sonny's I don't believe I've ever had bad food here. Waitresses and host are very hardworking. I actually had a birthday and marriage proposal here, hopefully our children's children's will be able to enjoy here for many more years to com.
