Use to eat here three or 4 times a week. And would spend 50 -60 bucks every time I came here went a few weeks ago and couldn’t even order a taco because I’m not paying 4 dollars for a two dollar size taco. Food is great but prices have gotten to be outrageous here. I won’t be back for a long time. During the summer I usually get 40 to 50 tacos a week to take with me on the boat that would cost close to 200$ dollars. Now. So I just drive to Pensacola to get my tacos now

Hands-down the best authentic tacos in South Alabama. Everything is freshly prepared and made to perfection. Wide selection of meats to choose from.
It’s so authentic, they don’t serve chips and salsa. I’m not Hispanic/Latin but this hole in the wall is a HIDDEN GEM. I eat here when I’m craving Hispanic food.
I have never liked Mexican food. Now I know why...because until eating here I had NEVER HAD real Mexican food! All the big chains are simply posers, who only specialize in bland. Not at San Jose! The meats are fresh and full of flavor. The portions are ample. And the chips are fresh and the best I've ever had.Watch out for the salsa though...it has a little kick.
You know this is going to be good when you’re the only person in the place speaking English. This combination meat market/ restaurant is about as legit as it gets. I ordered the fajitas San Juan which had grilled chicken, steak, shrimp and chorizo with peppers and onions. The salsa that is served on the side was very nice with different spice levels. Pleasantly surprised to find such good Mexican food outside of Texas.
Fantastic, I ate here 5 years ago and it was amazing, revisit it and it has only gotten better!!!Bear with the waitresses because they dont speak very good English, but they are super sweet and if you point to what you want, then your golden.BEST TACOS IN SOUTH ALABAMA!!!

Best tacos hands down I bought 6 tacos I ate 6 tacos and I would eat 6 more if my wallet would allow it the food amazing definitely would recommend (no photo because I ate it too quick)
