Loved the Vince Gill concert here. I wish they would add an awning on the outside fire when it rains unexpectedly. We had to stand in line outside in the rain. I do wish they would add bathrooms. The lines for the bathrooms were ridiculous. You had way better access to drinks then you did for bathrooms. I like the size of the venue and the acoustics. It made for a very intimate concert. The seats are in extreme need of replacement. Plus they are way too close together. If I hadn't had an end seat at the aisle I would not have been able to sit without my knees hitting the person in front of me.
Color purple souffle side the play was great! The cast get a amazing job! General admission tickets sucks for tall men! I'm 6 foot 5! The seats are not made for tall men!

Beautiful venue. Only negative is parking situation, but God provided us a spot. We got to see Jeremy Camp. BEST concert experience ever!!! He is truly anointed!!! Never been to an orchestra house before. That was amazing!! Love how intimate it is. Def a great concert location.
Always a joy seeing an event here at this historic venue. Parking is limited so arrive early but paid parking lots and street meter parking is also available. Plenty of restaurants and bars with in walking distance should you want to enjoy something prior to or after the show. Snacks and beverages including alcohol, beer, and wine available inside the theatre. Wheelchair accessible and you can buy tickets online or at the venue. We attended the Styx concert tonight which we thoroughly enjoyed the band. However, the usher/security guy who interrupted my enjoyment during the band’s first set was extremely rude. We purchased seats in the Loge on the right side row A seats 16 and 17. We were seated there for at least 30 minutes prior to the start of the show and I had a bottle of water sitting on the ledge in front of me for the majority of that time. My bottle of water stayed capped unless I was drinking from it. All around the Loge area there were numerous drinks sitting on the ledge including several that were fully open without a cap. So if there was to be a problem with drinks being in the ledge there was ample time to address the situation before the concert began but not once did anyone from the theatre say a word to me or anyone else around me. Then this extremely rude guy taps me on the shoulder and proceeds to shine a flashlight in my eyes and screamed at me that I needed to move my fully capped bottle of water. I looked around and saw quite a few other patrons with open drinks in the same place as mine has been but did this guy tap any of them on the shoulder and interrupt them??? Not a one. I watched and he didn’t bother to shine his flashlight into anyone else’s face and so rudely tell them to move their drinks. Then during the intermission people continued to bring their drinks back from concessions and place them on the ledge and no one else got singled out in the manner that I did. I doubt that I will be back to a show at the Saenger in the future because of this awful experience. There was no reason for him to treat me that way and you should be ashamed to have such a rude person working in your establishment.

For an old theatre, the place is really well kept and clean. The sound for the concert I attended was inconsistent throughout the show and the venue security guards were distracting with their constant roaming within the crowd, but overall it was a really enjoyable experience. Based on the age and history of the Saenger I give it 5 stars, but don’t expect a roomy venue with lots of amenities.
