We ordered as a company and one of our employees didn't get their food even after the waiter said she made sure everything was in the bags.
Awesome experience. Great food, service and atmosphere. Lots of thumbs ups ????????
There were five of us and I don’t think anyone was unhappy with what they got. Food was good, service was good and the portions were very large
Rio used to be our favorite Mexican restaurant. We would look forward to going EVERY weekend. It’s just not the same anymore. They must have changed management (and our favorite waiter, Nestor, hasn’t been there in a long time now). The past 4 or 5 times we have gone, we have seen a decline in both the food and the service. The quality of the meat isn’t as good, the flavors are nothing of what they used to be, the service is spotty at best (none have been truly diligent for the better part of a year). We kept going back over time (less frequently, I admit), thinking that it was just the staff that night, then that the restaurant was dealing with adjustments from COVID/staffing, etc, but we’ve decided to throw in the towel after having patience for so long and paying for too many disappointing meals.
Wow! Can I just say excellent food and beyond excellent service. We have tried over 5 Mexican restaurants in the area and none can beat this place. Food was seasoned very well, nice size portions, and beans and rice were fresh. Owner was super nice and the young girl that waited on us was very nice as well. We went in about 30 minutes before they closed and they welcomed us and didn't make it feel like we were an inconvenience. Our new favorite Mexican, we will definitely be back. They also have a super diverse menu with birria tacos and the newer stuff the young people are into.
Love the queso and salsa and the fresh chips. I am not the biggest fan of Mexican restaurants due to an incident where I feel the beef is never cooked thoroughly. The service was ok here but could definitely use improvement.
Tries to be trendy with street tacos but pork skins are not pork belly. Also, face masks worn as chin bras don't count as protection.
I absolutely love dining at Rio Mexican Restaurant. Immediately when u walk in the door, there is hand sanitizer available. I am always greeted within a minute of walking in. I specifically ask for a server named Alyssa (she never disappoints, is very professional, knowledgeable, and courteous). The atmosphere is calm and welcoming. The food has always been great. Prices are very affordable. And portion size is generous too. Visiting Rio Mexican has become a regular thing for our family now. We have not had a bad experience yet. I highly recommend this restaurant and server Alyssa. Chelsea has served us before and she’s fantastic too!!!!
Terrible service and no management on site. My husband and I ordered number D2 on the menu (dinner plate). We ordered chicken enchiladas. I told the waitress we did not want the beans, she proceeded to tell us that nothing comes with the meal but enchiladas because that is what the menu states. I said ok, add an order of rice. The plates are made in the kitchen with rice and beans ( which comes with the dinner plate), the waitress screams at the cooks wanting to know why they put the rice and beans on the dinner plate. She brings our meal and one is chicken and one is beef. I tell her that both were supposed to be chicken. She then gets a nasty attitude and tells me “ you got what you ordered” and continued to argue. I just pushed my plate to the edge of the table and said never mind I will not eat it. She tells me fine because you got what you ordered and walked away. Another waitress stepped in and made everything right - we left her a $10 tip.
It was freezing in the restaurant. We asked three times for the heat to be turned on. The thermostat said it was 58.deg. The waitress said the manager wasn't there and they couldn't unlock it to turn it on. After asking to speak to the manager. They finally turned it on. And before leaving it reached 60. We had a party of ten and most of them said they will not come back
