We always make a point to stop here on our way to Gulf Shores. Great seafood-fried or steamed. Casual atmosphere and friendly staff! Manager was super helpful accommodating us with our dog on a hot day. This place never disappoints.
I wish I had the vocabulary to reallyyyy emphasize how fantastic this food is!!! The staff is friendly and down to earth and the prices are reasonable. The wait wasn’t unreasonable and we explored the decor with delight! We’ll see y’all again!!!
I had the Cajun Box. It is 3 lbs of crawfish, two corn, potatoes, and sausage. The food was incredible. The vibe at the restaurant was great. We got there about 30 minutes before they closed but we were not rushed in the slightest. Had a long conversation with the owner about Mobile as I just moved here. I would highly recommend Mud bugs at the loop.
Went to Mudbugs for the first time. BEST crab legs I've ever eaten. Very well seasoned. Juicy and fresh!!! I was visiting my sister and almost stopped on my way back home to some up. Unfortunately, I live 200 miles away. Can hardly wait to revisit

Impressed with how much food you get for the price. You order as if you’re getting takeout but can use the seating to eat at the location. The crawfish was pretty fresh and crispy. I wish they were cleaned a little better, though. Establishment was clean including the restrooms. Staff was really nice but they got distracted from conversation amongst themselves quite frequently to the point where there was some neglecting the customers, including me. Paying additional money because of using a card is a little strange in 2022.
Used to be able to leave 5 stars but recently…it’s been a bit bad. I ordered $200 of food for a small party and everyone ended up with a stomach bug for the next week! We couldn’t eat and had serious stomach digestion problems. Made me very very sad because I love this place but either the food wasn’t fresh or not cooked properly. Probably going to be a while before I spend my money here again. Can’t trust it…?
Today I visited Mudbugs in hopes of getting some delicious seafood boil. Well unfortunately is was far less than that. The first issue I had was the lack of communication. When I ordered my #6 the young lady who took my order did not tell me that unless otherwise stated all the boils come with the headed shrimps. I had to get that corrected before my order was fixed. Secondly I asked that no onions be in my boil unfortunately my boil was full of not one kind of onions but of two kind of onions which change the taste of this boil. The third issue I had with this boil all 2 pounds of shrimp was not clean at all shell was still on and no split in the back which contains the shrimp waste. The shrimp was over cooked and very hard to peel. And lastly I call back to the restaurant to inform them that my order was prepared incorrectly and the manager stated that the girl who took my order fail to write no onions on the ticket and then she hung up the phone. The taste of the food was barely eatable but my daughter and I ate what we could lot of food going to waste. The the lack of communication, unclean and over cooked shrimp and wrongly preparing of my food I will not visit this place again and I would not recommend it.
Wonderful place, excellent bugs & gumbo. The staff was just plain nice - something not common these days. She even brought is a cooler for our beer while we ate!
Order steam shrimp to go and 1 1//2 of shrimp with heads. Steamed shrimp was so tough we finally gave up and threw them out. We also got severely shorted on raw shrimp. WILL NOT GO BACK.
