My experience at Moe's was great. They have a laid back atmosphere, and that distinct Mobile air about them. Their meats, particularly the brisket, are out of this world. They take a lot of time smoking the meats, and it comes out in the flavor. I definitely recommend Moe's Downtown.
My son and I are from Canada. We came in for dinner yesterday (May 17 2022) I can’t remember the servers names that served us, but they were both amazing, and the food was just as amazing. Thank you for the great food, amazing service, and the tip to check out the USS Alabama. Definitely be coming back next time in Mobile.
Two things firstly if coming: Parking might be an issue depending on time when you come 2. They take your order then your seat with your ticket for them bring it to you(so maybe look at menu so can place your order as son at the cashier) Alright now to the main thing, food wise I got pulled pork platter which got say was on point, coworkers got wings (very good but slight pricey )and sandwiches which they all liked the food. Their sauces are pretty dance as well so if looking for BBQ downtown to seat and enjoy Moe’a the place.

Wow! Amazingly delicious! I highly recommend Moe's. Visited Moe's during an overnight in Mobile. So happy we went there! We ordered their sampler platter so we could try a bit of everything. This was the absolute right choice. The platter is supposed to feed 2-3 people, but I'd argue it can feed 3-4 adults. We ate more than we should have, and still had tons of leftovers. All of the meats were amazing. I'd have to pick the smoked sausage as my favorite, but everything was truly amazing. The sides were superb also. The coleslaw was the best I've ever tasted. And don't forget their cornbread!
It was alright. If you're a real fan of BBQ I'd probably go somewhere else. Service was OK.I ordered the Loaded Baked Tater, I received an underdone potato with beans cheese and meat slopped on top. I had to ask for the sour cream, chives, and white sauce, then I was told they were out of chives for some reason. The meat (smoked chicken) had no flavor, and had that gritty mushy consistency of something that has been long overcooked and maybe frozen then reheated.The pork rinds were good.
The BBQ here is phenomenal. I tried the sampler. It came with pulled pork, smoked chicken, sausage, ribs, turkey, and chicken wings. My sides were were baked beans, greens, and house fried chips.. All were very tasty. I added a side of banana pudding and it did not disappoint. The staff was very friendly and proved great service. The environment of the restaurant was very relaxing and fun.

The white sauce accompanying it kicks up the flavor a notch.Mini RibsTypically for kids two bones with a side, I chose Mac and Cheese. Delicious, juicy, fall-off-the-bone ribs. The ribs stand well on their own but the Sauce is amazing. The Mac and cheese is the right portions of Mac to Cheese for my preference. Not a lot of cheese. Do not order the M&C if you like yours with lots of cheese.Mini WingsYou'll get 4 wings. Juicy meat with well balanced flavors. I picked the sauce with garlic. Great flavors with a nice spicy kick to it.Service:Very attentive and timely. The server was frequently asking if I needed anything.Final thoughts:If you like BBQ, this is a spot you should definitely consider, if the ribs are anything to go by. Great atmosphere, good music, friendly and attentive service. Plenty of TVs to watch any available sports
Very good BBQ, atmosphere is great and the staff we dealt with were all very pleasant. The only drawback is parking, the lack of it. We were in on a rainy day and had a bit of a walk from where we parked to the entry of the establishment. Will definitely go back again!
This place is just a good time. Atmosphere was pretty up beat and lax, food was incredible! Staff were accommodating. Coming from Louisiana on a road trip, I promise ya this place is worth a visit!
