The hotel was very nice and clean. The area was super quiet and the front desk made the check in process super easy at the front counter. I needed to print some items and the front desk staff printed them for me. I did find the idea that they use joint rooms and my neighbors hall ended to be a little loud. This was a weird experience but other than that I had a great time and would lodge here again.
Make sure to use Hᴏᴛᴇʟʙoʟʟʏ.ᴄᴏm when booking any resort. This website will compare hundreds of booking web sites and typically will have rooms a lot cheaper compared to others! You're welcome :)! This place is the best rated in the area. I have been coming here for years. If you choose this place you definitely will love it I'm sure!\\n\\nMr. Paul Sharpe was a wonder to work with! He was very patient, knowledgeable, professional, helpfully attentive, and so friendly. He made the event we had even more wonderful. He really sold the hotel well.
I attended a real-estate customer appreciation event held by my cousin and it was quiet nice. The garden setup was nice, the staff were friendly and the food plentiful and delicious. The vendors presented vital information that produced financial benefits.
Stayed 6/29-6/30. The hotel looks like an 80s building. The staff at the front desk on check in were nice enough, athough it appeared I interrupted one of their naps. No upgrades for elites at this property, despite a very very low occupancy - at least not for this "titanium for life" member - perhaps you will do better. I was provided with a coupon for "breakfast" and a $10 food and beverage credit. My room was adequate. Toilet barely flushed; standing water in tub. tiles falling off the wall. The bar of soap looked like the little sliver you have at the very end of a bar of soap, usually about 3 days after you should have replaced it. This property was so stingy with the soap that you only get one of those little slivers to share between the sink and the shower. Room needed a good dehumidifier as the A/C just didn't do it. So, after a long day driving from Houston to Mobile, went to bed early. Got up looking forward to breakfast. This hotel still has the lounge closed, but they have a nice area set aside in the restaurant. The "free breakfast" consists of previously-frozen pastries, some fruit, and free coffee. That's it. So, glad I saved my $10 coupon. I tried explaining that I wanted to order off the menu. The waitstaff provided a menu. The breakfast menu us incredibly limited, especially for a "full-service" Marriott. They had one interesting thing on there: an omelette with shrimp and crawfish. Great! I ordered that and a side of bacon. Tried to use my $10 food and beverage coupon, and was told, I can't, It is only for use in the restaurant. Apparently elite members sitting here are not considered part of the restaurant can do not expect to use your $10 F&B credit for breakfast. You simply can't. Not sure why, but had to pay full price. Will dispute on credit card. So, was going to stay another night, but checked out and went to another hotel. This one is very bad, no idea how they have 4 stars. Very very disappointing management, disappointing stay in general, and disappointing room. Keep looking for other properties - this is not a nice one at all.
Convention! I spent 2 hours on the phone with 2 different reps trying to book a room. After being hung up on twice, I stayed elsewhere. The food the first night was disgusting. Raw hamburgers with burned exterior and mayonnaise instead of coleslaw. The next day, chicken and veggies was fine. Unfortunately, they ran out of food each meal so those in back did not get a full meal. In planning the convention, the service reps kept changing jobs so communication was difficult and what we were told did not happen. Promises made and broken. Do not recommend for business or pleasure. One man in the lobby spent an hour watching folks check in. He said it was incredibly slow service. Don't try to buy a soft drink, must stand in line at check out to pay, a line of 25 she said. Not worth a $3 drink. Complete nightmare.
Terrible experience ! Marriott lost my reservation and the front desk took more than 45 minutes to give me a room. I arrived at 1 am and did not get to a room until nearly 2:00am . During the three days I stayed here I received no housekeeping services even after I requested them to bring me toilet paper . Truly the worst hotel experience of my life. Motel six has much better service! The breakfast buffet was $17.95 and it was awful !! Do not make the mistake of staying here. The shower was either all hot or all cold water. When asking for a new room I was ignored
Booked a room days before. Drove 8 hours with 3 small children. Got to the hotel around 7 for them to tell us they cancelled our reservation because they ‘were over booked’. When we told them we never received any cancellation notice they stated ‘oh, I was about to send it right now’.
Old tired hotel in desperate need of renovation. Found a man’s shirt in bottom of closet. No hand soap or shampoo in bathroom. Makes me wonder how clean the room really was if they were not paying attention to the details Had to wait for 45 minutes for lone housekeeper to show up. He was very nice. Beds worn out. Staff were great though. Would not recommend. Have stayed in much nicer Fairfield Inns for half the rate.
When I made the reservation, I was told that the hotel has a M lounge and that they could provide a microwave in the room. I spoke to 2 different people from the front desk – one of them called herself Qualisa. I also had a Front Desk chat exchange on the Marriott app with the manager and I was told that Housekeeping would be able to provide a microwave. When I checked in, I was told that there was no M lounge. I asked to send a microwave to the room. After no response from the hotel for 2 hours, I called the front desk and they said that they could not provide one. So, one misinformation after another and no follow-ups or apologies. We were asked to use the microwave in the market besides the lobby. It was so filthy I couldn’t touch it – just took a picture (attached). The fridge in the room was just a cooler, although the website says Refrigerator. It is supposed to be a full-service business friendly hotel and it did not even have a working printer. As a lifetime Titanium member, I was told that only I could get a breakfast voucher, not my husband. And only limited to continental breakfast. We checked out the very next day because of the really bad service and asked the hotel to refund the charge for the following night. They refused to do it. They did not even give welcome points and placed unauthorized charges on my credit card. This is some cheap and lousy hotel for sure. Do not stay here for either business or leisure if you do not want to ruin your trip.
So I will say after reading the reviews I was skeptical about staying here but I took a chance and stayed and let me tell you I'm glad I did if nothing else bur to experience the staff they are phenomenal every one of them. Is the motel dated and need upgrades, yes but guess what they are doing that right now, they started at the top and working their way down and no not once was it noisy, loud or dirty. Just remember most people only write reviews when they want to complain but fewer write ones when they are happy. Bottom line is the restaurant is great, M club is great staff and stay are great!! Enjoy your stay and enjoy the staff and make your own opinion. The pictures I am attaching were taken on 5/13/2022
