We visited from Michigan The food was really good and well priced. We also got excellent service from our server, Emily. I would definitely go back if ever in Mobile!

Well, food was cheap. Husband and I had the shrimp and grits. I had four very tiny shrimp in my dish. And the food was cold. We ate very little.

We loved Mama's! Read reviews and thought it sounded like out kind of place and it was. my husband and I both had country fried steak, with mashed potatoes and gravy, squash casserole, fried okra and butter beans between us. Our 4-year old granddaughter had chicken tenders, mashed potatoes And gravy And fried okra. She ate my corn muffin. We all loved our food. Such a comfort!!

Cute downtown eatery with down-home southern cooking plus a few extras (looooove their Blackened shrimp and blackened fish!). Caesar salad is so fresh & huge! Service is diligent and personable. I think literally every member of the wait staff came by to check on us or do something for us, without being intrusive. The place always seems to be packed, and the service never suffers. The owner came out and entertained our questions about the history of the restaurant and the building space they occupy (adore their wall murals). Absolutely love their menu. Their cabbage, ✨squash casserole✨, okra,.. ok, I could also be well- satisfied with a veggie plate! But there is still the country fried steak, the pork, things I want to go back and try because there is an impressive variety on the menu and everything we have had so far has been very very tasty. Until next time!!

I waited a hour for “large fries” and my other plate was cold and very unseasoned! Chucked was half done and dry the macaroni was not even done it was very hard like this literally looks like prison food

A great place for home-style southern cooking. The shrimp and grits special has plenty of shrimp in a looser style of cheese grits, and includes a healthy share of Conecuh sausage. I usually have the country fried steak, but I wasn’t disappointed with my alternate selection.

Great food at a great price. Was pleasantly surprised that it was not packed solid. Menu selections were quite enough for lunch and the portions were good. Fast and very friendly service.

Just had the best lunch here. The owner came out and talked to us. The customer service is out of this world.

The food was very good and the waitress get good advice on the food.In the photo is red beans and rice on one side and fried chicken on the other.

Big portions, don't forget the banana pudding
