This. Was. Not.good. I only wish I could reply to some of these “best bbq” reviews. I sincerely want to know if you’ve ever eaten bbq anywhere else. Dry fried pickles, soggy cobbler, watery bbq ketchup sauce with liquid smoke. I was told not to fill up on the biscuits before our meal. I ended my meal finishing the biscuit. I am struggling writing a poor review, I love giving good reviews! So I’ll say this, the staff was so so so kind, loved the staff!

This restaurant has a down-home country hospitality vibe radiating throughout the whole place, even when you taste your bite of your meal! This restaurant is definitely one of the rare gems that you can really count on to get delicious food and a real full belly! I truly recommend this restaurant to stop and eat at when you are traveling through Lower Alabama.?????

Great food, wonderful waitresses and hostesses. They were so busy, but when are they not? They always stay busy . Everyone of the employees were hustling, working their behinds off.We came during the breakfast/ Lunch hour so my son and I completely understood that it would take a little longer for the food to come. I am not complaining. The food was great! My son is a server at another restaurant and respected the bus boys by stacking our dishes together to make it easier and quicker for them to clean the table, just as I taught him so many years ago. I also instilled in him at a young age to respect waitresses. When Ihe told me he gave her a $20.00 tip, I am sure it made her day!!!

I have been coming here off and on since the mid 90s and it hasn't change in all that time. While the service was fast and friendly, there are better places to get BBQ. Unfortunately, they aren't nearby so this is the only game in town. The beef was dry and tough, the ribs were overdone, the bread pudding was dry, thick and heavy. Next time, I'll drive a little further.

We were traveling and the hotel clerk said there were 2 non-fast food restaurants in the area and this was one of them. We both ordered the small baby back rib dinner (1/2 rack with 2 sides) I got bbq beans and French fries, hubby got the bbq beans and coleslaw. We live in Florida and we love the baby back ribs at Sonny’s - they fall off the bone and melt in your mouth. These did neither. They were chewy and did not have a deep smoky flavor and the sauce tasted like bottled sweet sauce with no depth. The fries were big planks and not done enough. The beans were ok but again, no comparison to Sonny’s. I left about half the ribs, most of the potatoes and ate most of the beans. To say I was underwhelmed would be an understatement. I would not recommend this place at all.

We ordered the super sampler platter. The meat was tough and tasteless! The bbq sauce tasted like pure tomato paste. The peach cobbler had too much baking powder in it and was bitter! The service was robotic; they could care less if we were there or not. We will never visit there again!!!!!!

We came into mobile a little late and found this little joint, we got there pretty close to closing but they welcomed us in and didn't rush us at all. The waitress was very polite and personable. I got the ribeye and it was absolutely delicious. I would rate it better than most ribeyes from your typical "big chain" restaurants. Honestly they really made us feel welcome just like you were eating at grandma's house and I greatly appreciate the hospitality!

First question… why is this place ranked so high? Do Not eat here if you’ve ever had good BBQ. Which leads me to my second question… why are they using watery spaghetti-o tasting sauce as a BBQ sauce? It was hands down the worst BBQ sauce I’ve ever eaten poured on top of very dry pulled chicken. My wife asked for a salad with no tomato and was told “Well, it’ll just be lettuce then”. That was very factual. No cucumbers, no carrots, no onion, no cheese. Iceberg in a bowl. Third question… why is there no mac & cheese? Thought that was a staple at BBQ places. Positive- the waitress was sweet.

Been here twice for breakfast now. VERY delicious. I had pancakes, oatmeal bacon and one biscuit. Their biscuits are good but not the best thing on the Table. As should be expected from a BBQ joint, the meat (bacon) was the star of the show. If you are in mobile I recommend this place for breakfast for sure!

Good service, solid sweet tea, and good coleslaw. However, the main dish and beans were not what I had hoped. The BBQ sauce was very sweet as well as the beans. All of the meat was slightly over done and dry.
