I am giving this review 3 stars for numerous reasons. The staff themselves were wonderful. Extremely polite and friendly. I assumed, which was my mistake for assuming, that the buffet would have more of a selection for $18 per person. Most of the food tasted as it had been sitting for a while, so it didn't taste fresh. The price of the buffet is $18 for lunch, which I feel is a bit steep considering it is lunch and the limited selection. For 3 people, it was $65, including drinks, tax and tip. The food was good I guess, but not that good. Not for $65. The ice cream was so "soft" that it was like milk. Very bland taste to a lot of the food too. I know there are several great reviews, but if you are used to the typical Chinese buffet that has a big selection, this is not the restaurant you want to eat at. It is nice inside, and the staff was great, but the price is much too high for the lack of selection, and not being fresh.
Used to be the best in Mobile. Last time I went it was appalling. I ordered pick up. They said ready in 15 minutes. I waited outside in my car for 20 min. Went inside and waited THIRTY MORE MINUTES! I ordered TWO house special egg foo yung. Splurged & ordered 1 fried shrimp appetizer. Got home to discover only ONE egg foo yung order enclosed. The omelettes were nearly see through and skimpy. The gravy was a strange brownish greasy flavorless fluid. The fried shrimp were burned, hard as marbles and nearly broke my teeth.The management must have changed. It has gone from the best Chinese food in Mobile to the worst. Bad service! Dreadful food!
First they advertise all this hrs and specials. What do you get NOTHING. Drove 30 minutes for the recent advertise buffet and Happy hour. Told the waiter and just brushed it off. Poor customer service.
We ordered a meal to go via Uber. The delivery containers were of such poor quality that it could not support the weight of the food. My wanton soup was even spilled because of a broken container. Liquids puddled in the bags. The food was decent but not worth what we paid or the clean-up required.
Worse buffet i’ve eaten. They run out of food. Food has no taste. No star on this place.
This is a great family owned spot for delicious Chinese food. They did go up on the price though, that is a downside. Everything is very tasty and they have a wide selection of foods. Highly recommended for those delicious Chinese cravings.
The food today was AWESOME! Hot and fresh; even had some new dishes I haven’t seen here before and STUFFED SHELL CRAB CAKES ? They kept refilling all the trays with more food and it was YUMMY! I tried everything except the mushrooms (can’t stand mushrooms). The servers were very nice. They kept trying to refill my drink before time but that’s not really a complaint I guess. The DESSERT bar was pretty stocked too. DON’T put the skittles in the ice cream... they freeze and break your teeth. Overall it was a good experience. I’ll be back
Left our job early to eat here tonight. I don't know what exactly is going on there now but whoever is overseeing the food being cooked and put out to eat is not paying very much attention. The potstickers were all burned on the bottom, wings were not cooked all the way through, there was a film over most of the sauces in the entrées that, unless stirred, (which was done by the "manager" once it was noticed), looked old and spoiled, almost everything that was out when we got there at 6:30 was cold and dry. We both ordered diet coke for drink and even that wasn't up to anyone's standards. Asked for water instead and wasn't brought to us for 45 minutes. I completely understand there are issues that arise, but charging 17.95 for a buffet because sushi and fish that would have been better to get from the gas station is absolutely absurd.This carelessness and total disregard for Customer satisfaction has caused this business to lose 2 more long time customers. Speaking to the person claiming to be the manager was a waste of my breath. We got to see his dumbfounded look for about 10 minutes with no results is all that was achieved.I will say one good thing about my experience and that is the soft serve ice cream was working and the M&M's they had were quite delicious and I finally got to have ice cream for dinner. Just wish I would have known this and could have just went to Sonic for a Blast.Hope this saves someone else their time and money.
WOULD RATE 0 STARS IF I COULD!! don't ever go here unless you wanna waste money, the food wasn't even hot let alone good! Everything looked and tasted old and DEFINITELY not worth 17 Dollars a person! You couldn't pay me to eat here again
Not worth the price tag for the buffet. Everything was spongy and dried out at peak lunch time. Two stars since I’m sure it’s delicious if you order off the menu.
