It is good ice cream.The portions are generous (i.e. 1 of their scoops =s, 2 scoops at most place). And the price is very reasonable. Customer service is great. They are hustling to serve their customers!
Understand this is not a full service shop. Ice cream is available in cones, cups or pints and that is it. No sodas, no hot fudge Sundays , just ice cream. The flavors are good and the portions generous. They do not have sugar cones.

Ice cream was great! The service was awful! My daughter and I had gold dollars, which they made obvious they didn’t want to take. I told them (the cashier and manager) I had cash and the manager on duty got an attitude because she wasn’t going to be able to give people change from the money we had…. They were going back and worth with each other about taking the money. Its not a problem but it was upsetting to see other people receiving better service.
The ice cream was so good and the prices were not that bad at all, we have some places in Florida that are double the price of this place. So many flavors to choose from. Yummy!

Best ice cream I've ever had! It tastes home made, because they make it in small batches with real ingredients. They have so many ice cream flavors- something for everyone. You can also get milk shakes, malts, ice cream floats and sundaes/ banana splits. My whole family loves this place- it's a gem in midtown Mobile:)
This is by far the best ice cream I have ever had. Move over Blue Bell. Old Dutch is the way to go. We were first introduced to Old Dutch in Dauphin Island, Alabama. Now anytime we are in the area, we must seek it out.My favorite flavor is the chocolate peanut butter.Now I need to find this in the grocery store.
The ice cream and service good. There isn't much room for customers while they're waiting to be served. Social distancing is difficult at best if they have more than a few waiting to be served.
