Sadly the quality has gone waaaay down. Steak was covered in butter to mask the gross flavor I assume. Waiter wasn’t very attentive despite the place being half empty. Walked by us sweeping. This was hours before closing time as well. Won’t be back for a while. Need to get back to how it was in the beginning. Which was great steak and great service.
Now I normally would never order a steak topper, however everyone at work was raving about theses steaks and toppers. So I figured let's find out, I decided on a Ribeye Steak with a Parmesan crust, couldn't be more happy with the choice outstanding flavor combination and one of the best cuts of meat I've hade in a while! To top it off the service was next level! Our server found out we never tryed Taco soup! She was not having any of that, she brought us a sample to try and everything she did was to ensure we were satisfied!
The food seemed sub par from the last time I dined in. It has been about a year since I visited this establishment. For starters, the salad was good. I enjoy a well rounded salad that has multiple toppings. The Steak came out wrong temperature. The guest in my party ate two bites and couldn’t finish the rest. By the time the waiter came back to check on our plates, I was almost complete with my meal. They did not take the steak off the bill. The filet was not a tender piece nor was it flavorful. Quite disappointing. The Mac and cheese was old and a small sad portion. It was on the border of being dry which is never good. I give this three stars because I know this place can do better and I don’t want to give it the one star the steaks deserve.
We ate there for my grandsons 12th birthday. Everything we had was delicious! Steaks were cooked just right. The sweet potato casserole was so good. Our waitress was great too!
Been dining at Briquettes since they first opened….have probably dined there 50 times or more. Definitely the most consistent Resturant in Mobile as far as quality of food, service and they seemed to have done their best to keep the prices as reasonable as possible. Doesn’t matter if it’s the hamburger or the best steak….always good!
It was amazing. Have not had food really for a few days. Ordered what I wanted and ate every bite. Yummy. Now to sleep this medicine off. And we f course the bartender/server and her side kick made us smile a lot again this visit.
This place went from awesome to awful. Service was terrible, steaks are full of gristle and tiny. Will not be back!
My leftover salmon will make a great lunch tomorrow. Our server, Karlton was awesome even though it was a very busy night.
Wasn't that great. Had the chicken portabella. The chicken breast was dry and a little tough. Asparagus wasn't fully cooked. Staff was friendly but the service was mediocre. Facility was sour smelling. I believe it was the carpet. Not worth a second visit.
I like Briquettes because their lunch portion is enough to fill me up for a day, but I did not like the chopped steak with caramelized onion so much . The macaroni and potato fries were good. I understand that I asked for well done, but it tasted more burnt than well done. There was no seasoning or juice flavoring inside the meat; very dry. I had to ask for more mushroom gravy to help coat the meat. The first time I had gone to Briquettes Steakhouse, I ordered the 1/2 slab of ribs and that was a better meal than the chopped steak.
