We were visiting from Seattle and found someone's review for the Breakfast Sandwich. My friend got that and LOVED it. I had Lee's and the biscuits and gravy on a different visit...and that was it for me! In 8 days we ate there 3 times! And the ladies who wait the tables are just the nicest folks going!!!!! Thank you do much for your great food and the friendliest service!!!!
We were able to sit outside in the shade. The portions were massive! Everything was hot and fresh! Our server was kind, friendly, and went above and beyond! They do charge a service fee for cards so just a heads up. Our entire dining time was just under an hour. We will definitely come back in the future!
My daughter had a breakfast sandwich that looked very good. She was not a fan of the fries/hashbrowns/cubed potatoes (said they were cold) I had the shrimp tacos with okra and mashed potatoes. The tacos were very good. Okra was good. I have no opinion on the mashed potatoes. (I can't describe it. It wasn't bad but I didn't care for the taste) The service was friendly and prompt. I would eat here again and try something different.
Food was great. I had the chicken salad & fries. Hubby had chicken tenders. Both were good. Service was terrible. We had to ask for someone to take our order and for refills on our drinks. They were busy, but it felt like we sat down & were forgotten about.
We’ve been to Bobs many times and the food and service is usually quite good. Today…not so much. Bloody Mary tasted like cayenne pepper water. Watered down. So much pepper we left them. Disappointing as we’ve ordered their bloody Mary’s before. Fish taco was so salty. Husbands chicken sandwich was good. Fries were good. Go somewhere else for your drinks though. Told server, because she asked, and she offered us water. I was hoping they would make the drink order right.
I stumbled upon Bob's while wandering Mobile downtown looking for lunch late-ish in the day - past 2pm. I was one of the last two customers left. Sat at the bar. Had a lovely talk with the waitress. Delighted in the down-to-earth decor. Enjoyed my burger and beer and felt lucky to have found this place.
Everything was fresh and hot. It wasn’t crowded so service was fast. A great little hole in the wall with good food. Don’t miss it for breakfast.
We stumbled upon Bob's on a saturday morning and enjoyed a live Dixieland jazz quartet. Loved the live music. My bloody mary was super spicey and yummy. I wish they had some vegan options. Everyone liked their food. Pancakes were so huge and fluffy. Staff was fine. Our waitress disappeared but another server got us some ketchup and even a third server rang up our bill when we went inside.
Date of our visit was 03/29. My wife had the hamburger steak over yellow rice with sauteed onions and brown gravy. Her sides were cucumber salad and turnip greens. I had the St. Francis Street breakfast, eggs over medium. It comes with conecuh sausage, bacon, home fried potatoes, grits and a biscuit. While almost everything was good, the only thing that was above average was the sausage. We liked it so much we are going to have some shipped to our home. The hamburger steak, onions, rice and gravy were good. The sides not so much. My eggs arrived over hard so they had to be remade. Next ones came over easy, which was acceptable. I didn't like the home fried potatoes or grits. Bacon was nice and crispy, just as I like it, and the sausage was great. Biscuit was okay. Coffee is good. Bob's is a small place with seven outdoor tables and counter seating inside. Street parking is free if you can get it. Paid parking across the street. Service was very good. Friendly folks work here. We're sure there are some excellent items on their menu so we recommend giving Bob's a try.
Food was so excellent we forgot to take pictures first! I had the seafood omelet and my husband had the Bama burger. Both were absolutely perfect. The atmosphere was low key and very enjoyable, and that's not just the double mimosa talking. We will definitely be back because there were so many items on the menu we can't wait to try. Would definitely recommend!
