First of all, let me say how much i LOVE their food. Especially their chicken stew. The only reason I gave 3 stars is because I have spent over $100 or so on food there doing buisness with them and also tipped for every to go order. The last time I went there, I had ordered my usual, a half gallon of chicken stew. The first few times they asked if I wanted it hot, im not sure if this made a difference in the taste or of the gallon jar they served it to me in was dirty. The whole half gallon was cold and smelled, also tasted of pickles. Old pickles at that. By time i had sit down to eat it and noticed, they were closed. So i tried again for the next week to reach them after my shift, before realizing they changed their hours over night. Instead of closing at 8pm, they were now closing at 2pm daily. I eventually got in touch with them today which was a little over a week AFTER the fact. They knew exactly who I was yet told me there was nothing they could do because it had been over a week. I wasnt looking for any hand outs, yet I am also afraid to waste my money their again. The people there are really nice and only do what they are told, yet ive worked for MANY food places and they knew when I told them, that it was from Dirty dishes & STILL would not compensate me. Mind yall, I took one bite even after smelling the pickled stew, thinking maybe it was just me. But no, it tasted EXACTLY like it smelled! So I ended up wasting $20 Because I through the whole half gallon away. Im not sure why they even put a half gallon in a whole gallon jar, but one thing i can tell you, it was NOT WASHED PROPERLY. I will most likely never go back because I refuse to waist anymore money. Im not gambling with dirty to go dishes. That is DISGUSTING. AND The manager did not want to talk to me either. My guess is they already know what happend and its not the food, but if the togo dishes are dirty, imagine what your food is being cooked with. Probably half washed dishes would be my guess. Im good. Thanks anyways though!
This place is a hidden gem ?!!!!I absolutely love it. Reminds me of down home places I used to eat when I was a kid. They have a great menu, really good food, nice servers. My only problem with it is that the hours can be odd so check that before you just show up. This is common in the time we live where supply can be difficult for restaurants, especially down home places like this. If you haven't tried it, you are missing out!
I wasn't expecting my food to be as good as it was, I just wanted some catfish. Then when I walked in and they served it like my great grandmother used to. They had whole fried catfish and it was delicious.
Food was great, but service was horrible. The waitress never checked on me, and I had to go to the counter to get my check. The food was great so I won't say that I'll never return, but it is going to be a while before I do.
We had swung by another place for Breakfast, but the wait was over 1 hour just to be seated, so we went down the road and found Little Libby's. Got seated and waited on right away and had a WONDERFUL Breakfast. We WILL be back again. Kim was FANTASTIC!!
Was seated right away during a busy lunch time. Waitress was nice and direct to our order. Food came out pretty quick even though we did not order off the lunch menu.Parking with a trailer was difficult!
Delicious fried catfish and hush puppies. Good fries and sweet tea. The vi egar slaw is unique and so good. The collard greens are decent not great. The staff is great!
Good food, friendly staff and decently priced. It does gets full during lunch but that’s should be a good thing, right? I didn’t have the catfish but the burger was really good.
They have a great breakfast selection and it’s great food. One of the only places in the area that is open at 6AM that isn’t fast food. Prices are reasonable too.
Libbys is a true favorite to me, why ride to Guntersville for good fish when you can go to Madison. Great fish and the fries and Cole slaw is so good. They also do good country breakfast to and at a good price.
