Best hush puppies and great bbq. The service was awesome and fast for our large party. The soft serve ice cream is great. The peach ice cream was amazing.
Tried and true! I remember visiting Greenbriar as a kid and also for sports banquets. Hush puppies are always my favorite. Fried shrimp was perfect, and everything was hot and fresh. We didnt get there until 7 and had a booth right away. They close at 8pm, and you don't have to worry about "leftover" food after the dinner rush as restaurants sometimes shift gears near closing time. Our server was very kind and gave us recommendations when asked. We'll definitely try to go more often! It was nice to know some local places haven't changed. :)
I felt like Fred Flintstone when they brought out my rib meal. The food was plentiful and good. Waitresses were awesome we came with a group of 20 and they were on top of taking care of all of our needs. Down home food that was tasty and filling. I needed a box because there was no way I could eat it all! Wheelchair accessible.
Must have changes cooks in kitchen as our last two visits, the whole catfish was excessively oily...we had to sop up the grease with napkins before eating; and our recent visit this past Saturday, we had to send fish back as undercooked; mushy catfish is not palatable! French fries could have been crispier.
One of the nastiest restaurants i've ever been into by both the ownership and cleanliness I can only imagine the cleanliness of the kitchen and coolers if it's anything like the rest of this establishment I would consider it just as nasty as the rest of the businessIt's very old and outdated and needs to be shutdown for a very deep cleaning and they actually need to hire some people or have their staff go to a real restaurant so they can figure out how to really cook the food I have never ate such bland and tasteless food in my life.I don't think that Chef Gordon Ramsay could actually save this raunchy establishmentAs far as the big boy behind the counter well that's another story he needs to learn to treat his customers with more respect.The best thing that could happen to this place is to bulldoze it down and haul off the remaining pieces and start from scratch again you would be doing this old and wore out building a huge favor
One of my favorite BBQ restaurants of all time. The hush puppies are the best in the world. All of the meats are really good, but my favorite is the pulled pork. They also have really good catfish if you want to switch it up. Finally, both the white and the red sauce are amazing. This is a good place for a family dinner or even a big group get together.
Been eating here for decades. The food is excellent and the staff is friendly and keep my tea glass full. Hipsters beware: there are no craft beer or tapas for you here.
We’ve been coming to this restaurant for years. Primarily for the hush puppies but tonight after we finished our meal we ordered a dozen hush puppies to go. When I approached the cash register to pay, the guy behind the register asks my wife what you got there? In a very rude way. Like we were stealing his hush puppies. I explained we ordered a dozen to go. He then says we’ll need to add 4.80 for that and the 7 packets of ketchup you got. It wasn’t in a friendly way either and it wasnt our fault the waitress didn’t add it either. He was saying it loud enough for everyone in the restaurant to hear. He explains I have to pay .05 a pack for the ketchup (7 packs mind you). I have to keep cost down he explains. I said okay but that’s a good way to get people to come back. I assumed he was the owner which made it even worse!!! The way they treated us was like dogs stealing his food when we just spent $30. I’ll never be back and have let all my family members know too. Thank you sir for ruining our night!!!
Terrible service, cold food, at checkout one of the owners asked how was your meal,when he was informed as to how our meal was he proceeded to berate me and my family raised his voice and said that they were doing the best they could do. After being a life long customer we will never be back there again !!!
