Some menu items were unavailable. The dining room was surprisingly sparsely populated at noon. Dirty dishes remained on tables for an unusually long period. Wait staff was pleasant. However, you could sense that the restaurant was understaffed. There was a "now hiring" sign gracing the lawn in front of the store. Nonetheless, the food met the Cracker Barrel standard.
It was AWFUL! They were not busy at all and we had to wait for a table to be cleaned before being seated. We waited 40 minutes to get our food. Had to ask for straws, had to ask for utensils, HAD TO ASK FOR MY SALAD AND SWEET POTATO! Hubby was a quarter of the way done and I never got to eat. We had to ask for a to go box. When we complained all they would discount us was hubby’s sweet tea. OH! On top of this our food was cold! People arrived 20 minutes after us and were served before us. And we didn’t ask for anything special.
Ordered to go online. Very user friendly. Staff was courteous. Order was hot and fresh. Like most places, seemed short staffed so curbside was taking a bit. I walked in and was able to get order quickly.
I have loved all the staff I've interacted with here. Very friendly and productive. But management has got to do whatever it takes to get servers. We've been here 4 times over the last month, and twice we gave up due to the wait times with an empty parking lot and dining room. For what it's worth, food is standard for a Cracker Barrel, and waitstaff is great.
We had a party of 6 for Easter Sunday. We did the online waitlist, so the wait wasn't too bad. However they were short servers and after sitting at our table for 10 minutes an adjacent server took care of us because our zone server was late. Thank you Jerome for taking our table...you service was excellent! The only real negative was they were serving Easter breakfast on paper plates, a mix of red solo, glass and Styrofoam cups along with plastic utensils. We were told the dishwasher was broke.
The food was amazing service was quick. Our waiter I think his name was Jerome he was a young African man with a hurt hand. He did a PHENOMENAL job. He was funny, polite, quick, and kind. he was helping not only our table but other servers despite his hurt hand. There is not a whole lot of workers like him left and I sure hope he gets paid enough for his hard work. Would definitely come back especially if Jerome was my waiter.
Our waiter was super pleasant .our food was super good there was no wait. I always love looking around the pretty gift shop .it’s just a pleasant experience every time .thank you Cracker Barrel
Not from Alabama. In the area for a short time visiting family. We have been to this particular Cracker Barrel a few times simply because the food is always good and staff is very friendly.I'm at the point where I feel sorry for most restaurants, because NO ONE wants to work, therefore everyone is under staffed. So I understand having to wait longer for a table or the food, even though it may seem less busy. This place is still very clean, very cozy, great atmosphere..and I'm not one who feels comfortable going out in public..so management should be proud of everyone working here?
The food is unhealthy. The restrooms smell of urine. The dining area is freezing cold. This last attempt to give them one more try really helped me decide to never return. The food used to be good. The greens were awful. It was so dark I had to use the flashlight on my phone. To see the menu.
I was needing veggies. It took care of thatneed. Beans & Greens, baked sweet potato was all delicious. To add to the great food, iced peach tea.Jerome was a great server.
