Champy’s chicken is always right! Good quality of chickens and very crispy! My best chicken place in Madison Area!!
Returned on 6 Aug with friends. Another great experience. Brylee was our waitress. Excellent service and really good white chicken plate with fries and baked beans.First time visit. Lunch time on 4 Aug, 2022. Walked in and seated right away. Excellent customer service by Tatiana. I asked for recommendations and she said try the catfish. So I did. Really good! I ordered the 4 piece and received 5 catfish strips, bread, hush puppies, baked beans and fries. The tea was hot so I asked for more ice and she brought it right away. Will definitely return and try the fried chicken.
The chicken livers were excellent! I'm so impressed,? the owner even came out to our table to see how we liked them. This is customer service at its best. Next time we're going to try sitting in the bar too. Absolutely the best mac & cheese around here that I've eaten! The servers are very friendly and had smiles on their faces. That speaks highly of the workplace environment! Thumbs up guys !!! So glad I found this place, try it! They are also at the ball field by the grass section. ?❤️?❤️?❤️?❤️?❤️?????
All food is really good and a lot on your plate to eat very friendly atmosphere, Brandi H will not let you go thirst making her rounds checking on folks. Thank you for good service
Champy's has really great service and relaxing southern atmosphere! Haven't ordered anything I didn't like here yet :-). I am a lover of spicy foods and I love that they have a rack of different hot sauces here! My lovely daughter Alexa took great care of us this visit!
I hate to give a less than stellar review especially after such great service but . . . I have to. First, the good. The entire staff was friendly and smiling. Our waitress was attentive and sweet without being overbearing and actually remembered to bring the extra sauce with our food, which is almost unheard of. I got the 3 piece dark, my dad got the famous catfish. The beans were excellent, but that's about the only thing that was. The slaw was quite sour, the fries were too salty, the catfish was way too salty and tasted muddy, and they missed a few spots on the chicken with the breading so the exposed meat was way over cooked and chewier than leather so at least 1/4-1/3 of it was unedible. I'd like to think that this was just an off night for them, but seeing as how it was almost 6 on a Friday night and it wasn't even half full, it might not have been. Again, the service and staff was excellent, but we won't be going back because of the food.
Food was ok. Service was average. I had their 3 chicken tender plate and it was just alright. The chicken tenders were small but seasoned well. Their signature sauce was also good but their bbq sauce had a sour taste. My plate came with 2 sides. I chose Mac&Cheese and baked beans. The Mac&Cheese was hot and creamy (so delicious) but my beans were luke warm and cold… For the prices of the food I would say go somewhere else. This was practically fast food quality if that :(
Went there while visiting friends and it was amazing! Food was great (fried okra to slap yo' mama) and we were there for their first karaoke event. It was awesome - our kids were welcomed to participate and the servers was friendly and helpful. Definitely will come back when we're in the area again. Only complaint would be too much black pepper in the fried green tomatoes - I wish I could have tasted the tomato! ?. Everything else was perfect!!!
I’ll say that the fried chicken at this establishment is outstanding. The incredible sides help augment the main aim of this restaurant with each being classic but extremely well made.Champy’s is in a way that old country cooking you knew grandma can make when you needed a food comfort hug. I can’t say anything really bad about this place at all. Trivia night was interesting on one occasion and the atmosphere is spot on.
The chicken was really good and the pieces were large. I also really liked the mac n cheese.I only gave 4 stars because the service was very slow. I sat at the bar and there were only 3 other people, so I expected better service. Bartender disappeared for a really long time while my beer was empty, so that was irritating. I could understand if it was packed, but that wasn't the case at all.I will probably still come back again for the chicken because it was really good, but will hopefully get better service.
