This WH is in our neighborhood and we were so excited when it was built but…but has gone downhill so bad. We haven’t been in over a year but decided ti give them another shot… When we placed our order, we were told they couldn’t make an omelette because the machine was down…ok fair enough, we ordered something else. Next while drinking our coffee, of which they had no decaf, two roaches crawled across our table before our food was even brought out at which time we were so grossed out, we left. I hate to have to write this because we generally love WH. Hopefully they can make the necessary corrections.
This is the best Waffle House in my hometown, and the best Waffle House I've ever been to. The panoramic view that Waffle Houses usually offer is of a busy highway, but our Waffle House backs up to the historic district of Huntsville, so you get a nice view of Victorian bungalows and lush trees. Besides the view, the food here is always great. Some Waffle Houses can be hit or miss: the bacon can be soggy, the waffles can be floppy but also overdone, the coffee is not so fresh, the floors are suspect: it's part of the fun of the Waffle House experience, I get it. But every time I've eaten at the Waffle House on Pratt Ave, I've always gotten perfectly fluffy waffles, smooth coffee, and crispy bacon. Seriously. I've lived here for going on 10 years and it's perfect every single time. This is also a good Waffle House to take your non-Waffle-House-baptized friends to, as it is always clean and tidy, and the staff is friendly and efficient. Our Waffle House is nestled in the shadow of Monte Sano, one of the little mountains that mark the beginning of the Appalachians. Every time we go camping on Monte Sano, we trundle down the mountain the next morning for well-deserved Waffle House. I don't know how it was possible, but Waffle House took it from 10/10 to 11/10 this morning. We were immediately seated at a clean booth in the corner, a woman was immediately pouring and refilling fresh coffee like it was her Great Commission from Jesus Christ, and our food was somehow above perfect. Our waitress asked if we wanted cheesy eggs (heavenly) and gave us a pickle and jam with our All-Star Special. (I didn't know the All-Star Special even offered these accoutrements??) And as I was sitting in the corner booth overlooking the little Victorian houses of my hometown, I truly felt content and happy. And all for about $10 a plate.
Ordered over easy eggs with my breakfast. One was perfect, the other was over cooked that the yolk was hard. When I asked for another over easy egg, they said you have two eggs. I again, explained the situation, to only receive an argument. When they attempted to correct the problem, the attached picture is what I received. Unbelievable
Visited this location this past Saturday, and noticed this location needs help. Several months ago, we stopped by and saw roaches on the walls, this most recent visit there were still roaches present. I also want to give a shout out to Jessy, he by far deserves a raise for his work ethic and composure. I witnessed three other staff members walk out during a very hectic shift, and left him alone to manage all aspects. Jessy composed himself, and managed one ticket and customer at a time, it was impressive! Your hard work was noticed, and I hope your employers see this review and compensate you for your dedication to Waffle House.
Usually this location is very clean and has very nice staff tonight when I went I sat down and was eating and a bug was crawling on my table I notified a staff member and they said they are doing the best they can but I still have to pay full price for my order and once I got my ticket it was wayyyy to high I eat here often. And tonight wasn’t a very goodnight.
First I love Wafle house, but me and my wife walked in and no one greeted us, we sat down and waited but no one came to see us or brought us coffee. So we went to another wafle house. This was the second time we tried to eat there and it will be the last.
I sat down with my son in a booth that had just been wiped for breakfast. During our breakfast I did hear waitress refer to her spray bottle as her bleach. I didn’t think much of until we finished our meal. We noticed our clothes were ruined. We spoke to manager about this issue and he directed us to corporate. We left message on their customer portal. No apology given or contact made. I’ve been a lifelong customer and not big on public shaming , but this incident really speaks to their culture. Disappointed and dyed.
this waffle house is typically very clean and kind but there were bugs crawling everywhere. staff was very nice, very apologetic and said they just got fumigated, it’s not their fault but management needs to either give discounts to customers who see bugs or not open. once again, staff is NOT AT FAULT. i saw at least five bugs crawling just while I sat to wait for my to go order, and staff said they couldn’t discount. management should consider discounting if customers see bugs. once again, staff were very polite and kind as always
My husband ate there this morning and placed an order for me to go. Simple breakfast, 2 eggs, sausage, hashbrowns. My husband paid for it all. They packed it up to go. Get home and no sausage, only eggs and hashbrowns. It cannot get much simpler than that. Ridiculous.
