Delish! While there, we met owners Erick and Stephanie Luther and they could not have been nicer. The food is excellent - Erick is the Chef. The grocery and market is full of locally sourced, high quality products. I was most impressed with their fresh meat counter and baked fresh daily bread. If not going for a meal, it's a great spot to pick up unique foods, wine and gifts.
Only writing this review because I want them to stay in business. Breakfast is five star. We've tried many options and love them all. Selection of lunch options need work here though. Not a lot to choose from and would recommend the Standard Club be removed from menu or source of ingredients changed. The turkey seemed low quality, with a lot of tough, chewy gristle and the bread is just simple sandwich white "wonder-bread" style. In previous meals here, the homemade bread has been my favorite part, so I was so disappointed they used white store-bought bread. The avocado tasted old and just overall the sandwich did not work in their favor. I have loved every menu item previous to this though!
Fantastic brunch! They were super accommodating for our very large family. Food and service were top notch!! Can’t wait to come back!
I was on my way to Stella's to have a quick drink. However, I stumbled upon this nice little restaurant. The drink was very good and the appetizer was great. Now, I need to make my way back to try some of the other items on the menu. Good job Standard Social Market.
Social market has good options every time of day. My favorite is brunch.Good food and about $12-$20 per person for brunch/lunch. Dinner entrees go for about $15-$30 depending on what you go for.Service is typically excellent, and they have plenty of drink options to choose from.If you're in Huntsville I definitely recommend it! I take visiting friends there above most other places.
I've been eyeing this place down for a while but never had a need for an early breakfast downtown. Today was the day and after the experience I'm a super-fan!I grabbed the breakfast steak and expected your regular low quality flank steak - to my surprise they serve what they sell, quality cuts of meat! The price is awesome for what you get - I'm beyond impressed with the food!I asked for sweet tea and expected your average offering. What I got was a quality glass of Piper & Leaf tea with refills at no cost! This leaves an excellent impression when most places change $4+ per cup of this stuff!The waitress was excellent as well, she was waiting on all tables and still managed to make me feel as if I was her only table - great service overall!I'll certainly be back here the next time I need a quality breakfast, steak hits different in the morning!
The Standard might be small, but that's the point. It's an intimate environment for great food and drink. Great menus and wine selections make it something Huntsville, particularly downtown, has been in great need of for years. The service is excellent, and once you've been there a few times, you'll feel right at home every time you walk in the door.
Stone was a great server. Chefs were friendly. Grocery store is reasonably priced and has some great finds. Well mixed drinks. Best part is you can eat while you wait for your food. (Food is not Applebees so don’t expect those prices.) The fries were amazing. Will definitely be back.
Great little addition to downtown. Casual but nice atmosphere. The “Bees Knees” cocktail hit the spot. We tried the cheeseburger and shrimp and grits, both were fresh and delicious. Portions are generous, staff were friendly. We will visit again!
The Standard does a lot of things well. Great breakfast and coffee, healthy lunch options, and a great dinner options with different specials each night. The full service bar is nice as well to have a cocktail after work or on the weekend. Also very friendly staff and great atmosphere highly recommend.
