Had a wonderful dining experience last night. Our table was served by Kenesha and she did an excellent job. We were a large group and she expertly guided us through the fantastic menu, creating a very welcoming and relaxed atmosphere. I’ve been for lunch before but will definitely return for another dinner-the menu is so varied. Everyone at my table tried something different and we all were delighted with our choices.
We recommend this place 10/10! The service, food & atmosphere was amazing!
Staff was great! Meet the owner which always makes it fun and food was awesome! The shop upstairs was awesome!! Snagged some goodies to enjoy at home!
Outstanding food! Highly recommend the bangers and mash. Nice wine selection and appetizers . But the service is by far the thing that will bring us back! Our server was attentive, well informed, and made the evening a wonderful experience. Thank you Kenesha!!!! She is beautiful and single.., just saying for all you single guys out there.
I...LOVE THIS PLACE.The atmosphere, the service, the drinks, the FOOD. Holy Moly y'all this place was fantastic. I was so enamored by everything here, I could barely tell we were sitting outside in 90plus degree weather. I got their bangers and mash and myy gawwwwd....it was delicious!! Hubs steak was PERFECTION. BEST steak tartar I've ever had. It was so good we went back the next night just for drinks and conversation.
Absolutely delightful! This is a neat place, tucked in the Downtown area of Huntsville! This evening I got to enjoy a Parsnip Parmesean Truffle Soup, Frog Legs on Passata, and a Triple Berry Cobbler with Chantilly...Must visit if you go to Huntsville
Had an EXCELLENT lunch experience today. To start our server Kenesha was very friendly and knowledgeable. She started out suggesting her favorite menu items which I really appreciate. We took her advice on our appetizers and ordered the French onion soup and fried green tomatoes. WHOA! They were both fantastic! The soup was some of the best French onion I have ever had. Very cheesy and delicious! The fried green tomatoes were perfectly crisp on the outside. They were also served with a Bloody Mary ketchup that was just slightly sweet with amazing flavor. For our entrees I took Kenesha’s favorite sandwich advice and ordered the roast beef sandwich. It was so good! My husband had the pastrami which was awesome as well. We were already stuffed but couldn’t turn down the sticky toffee pudding. Very glad we ordered it. The manager Dave was delightful and told us a lot of cool things about the business and how it came to be. They told us to check out the butcher shop upstairs which has a lot of really cool products. We got a few different cheeses and some of their cool Irish sauces. We are already discussing making another trip down to Huntsville mainly just to try the fish and chips! We saw another table get them and they are neatly presented wrapped in newspaper! Thank you to the poppy staff!
I can’t say enough good things about our experience at Poppy and Parliament. I was not a believer, but this is not your average pub. We sat at the bar and got a special, the parsnip and Parmesan soup, the frog legs, the fish and chips, and the earth and soul salad. The service was amazing, and so was every dish. It was the best salad I’ve ever had, and my husband loved the fish and chips. A table in the bar area got the tomahawk ribeye and there was a whole chef presentation and slicing of the steak. We would love to come back and try a steak since they have their own butcher shop upstairs. I have seriously underestimated this place in the past when I came for just a beer or for brunch. Dinner is where they really shine! Thanks so much for the great evening.
Poppy & Parliament offers one of the best dining experience we’ve had in Huntsville! The decor, menu and ambiance are well designed and intentional to give an authentic English pub feel. The staff was just as incredible as the food that was served. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a fun night out!
Waste of time. Horrible service, It took literally an hour to get two pieces of toast with mushroom slop on it, an appetizer, and it was burnt. Do yourself a favor and eat anywhere else downtown this is a sad try at craft food. An hour for a burnt appetizer. GARBAGE!!!
