Basically an overpriced frat house. If you like all night pool parties, blaring music from the galleries and courtyard, and management that doesn't do a thing about it, you'll love it here. If you feel like an apartment advertised as "luxury" should be more than code for "it costs a lot", I'd stay away.Several new residents left after less than a month due to noise recently. Do with that what you will.**Response to management: Loud music is often audible from the pool in the lobby during business hours. There's a pool monitor on staff. Yet nothing is done about noise, smoking, glass in the pool etc. It's your responsibility to maintain the environment you advertise, not your residents'.
I reside at Belk Hudson downtown which is owned and operated by Sealy Properties. Management and staff members go above and beyond to make their residents feel at home. Incidentally, I am the current “courtesy officer” here at BHL. It’s my job to make sure the residents here feel safe and secure. The management at BHL treats their residents like family.. and that’s something you don’t find these days. Also, I am very familiar with the management at The Avenue which is also located downtown. Their management genuinely cares for their residents. The courtesy officer there is a great friend as well as a colleague of mine. We both have a combined 50 years of law enforcement experience and with that being said, it’s not just our job that we have a safe and secure community here, it’s our passion. If you are considering a move to the downtown area in Huntsville you need to consider either Belk Hudson Lofts or The Avenue as your next move. You won’t regret it.
My best friend and I stayed in an Airbnb located here. Our Airbnb was wonderful and accommodating . The property is beautiful. Unfortunately one of the nights I stayed I had gone out to my car to get my wallet and I forgot my key fob to get back in the building. I thought I was lucky when I saw an officer go in that lives here so I explained to him that I had just forgotten my key fob . He then DETAINED ME , talked to me like garbage , accused me of not staying there , was being very hateful so I started crying telling him I had left my keys and my phone if he would just walk me to my apartment or let me call my friends to let me in that everything would be fine . He yelled at me to stop crying , made me exit the building then go back outside . After choosing not to arrest me ( for no reason) shortly after my friends came outside noticing I had left my phone and the key fob. It was a nightmare experience and the officer shouldn’t get to live here if he’s going to harass people who pay to stay there . Horrible cop.
Great food and great atmosphere. Service was prompt & friendly. Mac & cheese rolls, chili, chicken pesto were delicious. Will definitely come back when in town
Very friendly office staff; excellent and quick maintenance work order system and timely fixes; great community! As a middle aged woman I never saw myself living in an apartment again. I haven't lived in an apartment since I was 22 and in college. I'm pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoy living here with my husband as an "almost" empty nester. Definitely would recommend this place for all of my friends. Very convenient to work, eating, and social gatherings!
We had a wonderful experience at Melt on a recent Friday evening. We were able to sit outside and enjoy both the nice weather and the live music. There were several sandwich choices that looked yummy, but we ended up just sharing some appetizers. The honey baked goat cheese was outstanding and the Mac ‘n Egg Roll was a tasty and unique dish. If I lived in Huntsville I think I would be a regular here.
Really great units and amenities, cool location for downtown living. The staff is nice and overall it is well kept. Mail situation kind of chaotic at times. Difficult place to live if you are a bad sleeper. Fire alarms go off OFTEN and fire trucks often downtown for other buildings. Apartment doesn't protect you from any sounds from the restaurants.
They advertised Octoberfest. There was nothing Octoberfest about it. HB beer was wheat beer. Yuck. No real mustard for sausage. No German potato salad. No spatzle. No pretzels. No German music. Schnitzel was deep fried chicken. And there is only one toilet for all the men in the establishment. (Two for women) But really, you serve beer. French fries were really good.
weekend outing streets blocked from traffic and outdoor seating with good food and service. Will do it again.
My mother lived here for a year and it is a beautiful place! People are friendly and helpful. The staff, Whitney, Mackenzie, and Jasmine are super professional and always so kind. I will surely miss my mother living here.
