There are mixed reviews on here depending on day and time of the week people visit. I have been here twice now and each time was fun and relaxing. I went on wed and Friday around 6 PM. On Friday we watched this performance by a local man (Patrick I think?) and he was wonderful. His soulful music really brought this place to the next level. The establishment itself is beautiful and well kept with three main areas for seating. Now keep in mind it might take you longer to get a drink if you are further from the bar i.e. sitting outside. I have found that if I said inside I get drinks faster and I do not have to ask for them often because the service is great. They have an eclectic feel that reminds me of the catacombs and Tom Brown’s combined. The cocktails are decent but what really makes this place thrive is the music and the decor. I would not recommend this place when it gets packed though. I loved that there were quite a few people there but it did not seem too overwhelming. All in all I think this is a great place to visit.

Limited selection of bourbon (they literally do not stock Jim Beam). I was charged $10.65 for a single shot of whiskey. I didn't expect Nashville or Vegas prices in North Alabama. I can get a shot of whiskey at Sammy T's for $3 on a Friday night and $6 -$7 at Humphrey's. Thanks, but no thanks Stella...one visit is enough for me

I’ve attended Stella’s about 5 times now. You’ll be in AWE with the beautiful surrounding and the stunning look of the location, one of the more rare rooftop bars in North Alabama. The service is 1/10… I’ve talked with so many people who can attest to the lack of attention to detail, service & the service time.If someone sits for 1-2 hours and can only get 2 drinks due to bartenders talking and sitting in one place that’s terrible. That’s a lot of money lost.I’m not sure if service is given based on your appearance, color, financial status or if you know them but each time I’ve come the service has gotten worse and worse and worse. The only bartender that’s been phenomenal is the OWNER! The owner is sweet, communicates, & efficient. It’s always a new bartender each time I’ve come. I order the same thing each time and the price has changed each time. $15-$16 for a 9-10 ounce glass is on the high end but it can be worth it if the service is good. I can only imagine paying $32 for a double cocktail, mixed drink or so forth.Whether the place is packed or empty the service tends to be slow. The DJs and music are very entertaining and unexpected in a great way. This location welcomes people of all kind but doesn’t tend to service them very well.I’m a bar connoisseur… As well as liquor… and this place isn’t it. I believe it’s highly overrated. Highly over priced. Highly hyped up.None the less I may give it another shot because it seems to be a good location during the warmer months to relax outside. But the service is terrible they may have 1-2 good servers but they don’t introduce them self, they don’t check on you but maybe once and hour, the don’t start dialogue. My experience in the bar, service, and hospitality industry just cause these things to stand out.High prices should be followed with high quality service.I believe this location can see a 10-15% increase WEEKLY with proper hospitality training.

People of color are serviced a lot different here. The price point is way to high for the slow & lackadaisical service.Slow and busy nights consist of slow service, over priced drinks, & there are too many reviews stating they were over charged or double charged. I’ve witnessed this first hand just sitting back and watching.Bartenders are easily distracted.

Really cool spot! Swanky but not pretentious. I thought the staff was very friendly and attentive. Also, the prices aren't bad at all for such quality drinks.

Great concept, but lacks execution. Well designed and laid out, props for outdoor space. However, this place is notorious for trying to pad tabs with extra drinks and/or charging for doubles when none were ordered. So much so, that many others have brought this up and people now try to avoid this spot, because who wants to feel cheated when you go out for drinks. Not a singular occurrence, happened every other time we would go.

LOVE Stella’s. Favorite place to grab a cocktail in Huntsville. Love the atmosphere, vibe, and drink selection. Stella’s raises the bar for other local cocktail bars, setting the standard for more upscale lounges in Huntsville. So glad to have this place here!

We always have a good time! Great live music, fantastic cocktails, terrific atmosphere! So glad to have Stella’s downtown!

Just a nice downtown bar with some great cocktails! The bartenders are eager to please, especially if you appreciate their liquor choices.

We went about 2 weeks ago with friends. I’ve gone maybe 3 or 4 times, but after last time, I won’t be back. Each time I’ve been it has been extremely slow to get any drinks. Just to get 2 rounds takes over an hour or more. This last time, however, was the last straw. I stood at the bar for 20 minutes, the bartender kept making drinks (multiple rounds) for those around me and would not pay attention to me.A guy sitting next to me asked if they had gotten my drink order yet, and I said no so he was able to get her attention to order one. One, she carded me and was rather rude about it as if I had snuck in. You get carded downstairs and we had to wait in line to get in, so that didn’t really make sense to me. However, I politely handed over my ID. I got 2 beers for my husband, and then a French 75 for me which is usually delicious. The beers were half warm like they’d been sitting out and whatever she did to my drink was not the usual. It did not taste right. When I was handing my husband the beers, she loudly and annoyed said “ma’am” trying to give me my other drink. I know that they’re busy, and it’s a cute place. However, giving us warm beer and a drink that was not up to standard as well as being cold and rude the entire exchange while I’ve sat and watched you serve multiple people who came after me before me multiple times—not okay. I thanked her for the drinks and walked away.I didn’t say anything because we were out with friends and had already waited so long for drinks. I know everyone has a rough day so I just let it go as they were busy. Regardless, I didn’t appreciate being treated like that and the quality of what we got was not worth the price we paid. Unfortunately while it’s a fun hangout place to sit and talk with friends, we won’t be back.
