Best authentic Indian food in North Alabama. Great prices for the serving sizes. I won't go anywhere else other than Sitar. It's the best.

Haven't eaten here in a while. As good as I remember. Of the four of us, one had the buffet and the other's ordered from the menu. So a good variation of food for the three of us. Indian food always has a great variety of colors, textures, and tastes. Sitar does not disappoint. Not a glamorous restaurant and a little difficult to get out of if you're going south on Jordan at rush hour. But if you want to hang out with friends on a Friday lunchtime and enjoy good Indian food. This is the place.

Probably some of the worst Indian food I’ve had. Very bland and the chicken was tough. Maybe today was not the day to try this place but I wouldn’t waste my money again. The naan bread was good and that’s why I gave 2 stars.

Arrived at 4:55 and walked in while the waiter was sitting down reading the paper. He told me didn’t open until 5, so I had to go outside in the freezing weather for 5 minutes! Winter storm warnings but reading his paper was more important than letting me sit inside to wait for my wife????

Sitar has been around for years, and they seem to have stepped up their game as the business has grown to be a local favorite. Their options are incredible, with dishes that are vegetarian, chicken, lamb, and seafood based. Authentic flavors, creamy curries, and spice levels for all palates. If you're new to Indian food, give their menu a chance to impress you.The wait staff is friendly, and on tonight's visit I was generally pleased. Unfortunately, as with every restaurant, things happen sometimes and i found a medium length hair (different than my own) in my korma. The atmosphere is lovely, but more attention could be paid to the staff's cleanliness around the food to avoid it happening again. I would still recommend a visit, though!

This place was a delight to my taste buds. The lentil chips, garlic chili naan, and paneer pakora appetizers were all outstanding (especially with the tamarind sauce ?). The entrees were tasty as well, and they came with a large helping of rice. This place is now going to be on my restaurants to frequent list.

The food and staff are great. I have been here numerous times over the years and have never been disappointed. Looking forward to the opening of the 2nd restaurant in my very own backyard!

Meh quality. Overpriced for what quality you get. Service can be good if you get one of the long term employees who care about their job and the establishment's reputation, but I've also gotten the worst service ever here in the past from someone who no longer is employed there. As other reviews have stated, this used to be better.

There foods was very yammy. But there service is very slow bes of only one person.

Fantastic food. The food tastes very authentic and of high quality. The staff are friendly and helpful. The menu is expansive with so many options and spice levels to choose from. Love it here.
