We were really impressed with this Olive Garden. Our server, Jana, was amazing! She was very attentive and friendly. We never had to wait for anything. The General Manager and another manager were helping in every area that needed help. Nowadays it is so hard to find restaurants that seem to have it together with so many people being short staffed everywhere. Olive Garden on University Dr. was a very enjoyable experience for my family.
My daughter and I met for lunch. Our waitress was wonderful. Friendly, fast and efficient. However, the place was filthy, windows walls, bathroom all disgusting. And our main course was dry, over cooked just not very appealing. Even the bread sticks were old. None of these bothered us as much as the ants crawling across our table.
I was astounded by the excellent service. I called in a to-go order. They were ridiculously busy, but our order was ready, she double checked it in front of me and was courteous all while taking a phone order, an in-person order. The food was standard Olive Garden fare, good without being spectacular.
We went at a time that they weren't very busy. Still, we waited about 25 minutes for our entrees. The spaghetti was watery. The alfredo was bland. The salad was very good, and so were the bread sticks. The wait staff was inattentive. One worker sat chatting loudly to a friend about going home to drink. She did this almost the entire time we were there. Overall, not that impressive.
Very disappointed! Used to be my favorite restaurant but last few times I've been in different cities it's just not up to par anymore. And if I'm going to pay $10.29 for spinach dip I expect it to at least be a little tasty and not scorched from microwaving it!! Server was in training I could tell but she was nice. I had to ask for the salad and then ask for the bread sticks but otherwise she did good. Olive Garden is no longer my favorite restaurant tho!
Salad tasted like it was out of a bag instead of made fresh. The lasagna was pre packed and had very little flavor, the bread sticks were hard and cold, the fettuccine Alfredo noodles were hard and very little sauce. The only thing that we ordered that was actually good was the chicken marinara and the spinach dip. The waitress was very friendly and professional. It was a not so pleasant experience and probably will never eat there again.
This Olive Garden was the best one we.have ever patronized. The mannagement is obviously doing a great job. The servers and staff were friendly snd willing to help one another. The food was perfect ! My spaghetti tasted like home made pasta. My wife's chicken was moist and flavorful. Salad was plentiful and the bread sticks were right on.
Went to Olive Garden on University in Huntsville AL with my friend for her birthday. Derek S , our waiter was excellent. He was attentive, friendly, and went above and beyond. He brought my friend a birthday dessert of her choice and wrote Happy Birthday in chocolate syrup on the plate. That was just so sweet. Mr. Daniel's, if you read this, Derek deserves a raise. Also, the food was excellent as well. There was no waiting to be seated. Loved it.
My wife and I went there Valentine's Day. I know there had been complaints in recent years about the place. But the service was great and the Tour of Italy (my standard there) was actually in the top 3 meals I've had at Olive Garden restaurants. Honestly, it might have been the best Tour of Italy plate I've ever received. We enjoyed our date and both agree it was the best Olive Garden experience we have had in years.
We were there for a business lunch. We we're seated right away even though we were waiting for someone. They didn't bug us to leave when we lingered after eating. Food is ok. Two of us had soup & salad. The dressing is too sharp. Good thing we asked for it on the side. The soups were good, not spectacular but good. The fried ravioli were over done. They are also beef, not cheese. Cheese would have been better. The flavor was flat. $21.55 plus tip including $3.29 for a seltzer with lime. Wow. I will think twice before I go back.
