Maybe I should have gotten the pulled pork but I end up getting 6 wings, 2 sides. Me personally I don't like big wings but the white sauce made up for it. The baked beans and southern potato salad were alright. I definitely done had better. The customer service was great and the employees was friendly.
I went there for lunch. I was hoping for a light lunch. After skimming over the menu (on the wall behind the counter) I decided I'd just have a bowl of gumbo.I might be mistaken but, I'm pretty sure I was eating gumbo loaded up with barbecue. It wasn't bad. In fact, it was pretty good. But it wasn't what I thought of as gumbo. (Not that I'm a gumbo expert or anything.)Anyway, I think I'll try it again when I'm really hungry and ready for a full meal. It was kind of silly of me to look for a light meal inside a gas station.
Absolutely love this place. The owner of the company I work for has got us all addicted. It's always all of our 1st choice for lunch. Great red beans and rice, chicken and their smoked sausage is amazing. Waste away loves yall
Go early and asked for a sample sometimes they let the brisket dry out but it is the best in town. Smoked chicken wings are absolutely fabulous as well. Unfortunately the regular barbecue sauce comes out of a bottle but the white sauce is great. Sides are decent especially potato salad.
Had a meat and 3, and it was very good! I had smoked pork and gumbo, red beans and rice, and jambalaya. It was all good, and I would say the gumbo may have been my favorite. They also know how to make good smoked pork.. just a hint of smoke.. really good…. And they give you a ton of food! Don’t let the gas station location fool you.. and the bathroom and eating area are very clean. I will definitely come back and eat here again when in Huntsville.
Nice little place with home cooked Cajun entrees and sides. It's inside a gas station, but don't let that fool you. Very tasty choices to select from. I had the fried Catfish poboy and it was a good choice for a late lunch on a rainy afternoon.
Last night, I had a catered dinner by the New Orleans Lunchbox. It was the best Cajun food I’d ever eaten. Jambalaya, green beans, grilled chicken, coleslaw, & king cake were out of this world. Thx for a the quality food. Can’t wait to visit your restaurant.
This is a hidden gem in Huntsville. Great bbq and authentic New Orleans style food. I also buy my live crawfish from them. Good folks!
This is one of my favorite places to get food from in Huntsville. Fried catfish poboy, jambalaya, red beans & rice, pulled pork sandwich, it’s all so good! I’ve never been disappointed.
