Thi fried rice was good but could use a bit more sauce. Lettuce wraps were excellent
I ordered the soup and salad combo, and was disappointed. The hot and sour soup had nothing in it. The menu says it has mushrooms, tofu, etc. But all I got was broth that wasn't even good and some strings of egg. The chicken salad looked like a school lunch. It was just lettuce, 1 cherry tomato, and 2 big ol slices of orange thrown in there. The chicken that came with it looked bland and had little to no seasoning. Also idk if the workers are having problems amongst each other, but everyone was grumpy and had a resting "b" face. I've worked in food service before and know it can be stressful and hectic, but you can feel the "I don't want to be here" vibes when you're picking up food.I'll probably stick to the Mei Wei on University bc this one is always messing something up
I got the Blazin' Thai Tofu and the flavor was great. Good amount of heat. And the portion size is great. I'm thoroughly full. And I can rarely say that when I go out to eat!
Popped in for a quick snack to hold me over until dinner and am so glad I did! I ordered a couple of egg rolls which were hot and fresh and most importantly crispy and delicious! The sauce wasn't too sweet but really perfect for me. I am always a bit leery that fried foods at restaurants are going to taste like dirty oil but this was NOT the case at Mei Wei's. Yummy! The staff was helpful, attentive and kind. I will definitely return next time to try more items. Thank Mei Wei!
Some of the best chicken fried rice and hot and sour soup takeout I've had. The food quality is great for the price. Much better than other Chinese takeout spots I've tried. I would highly recommend to any of my friends.
The food is just aight. I think they lost their seasoning packets, cuz everything is bland. But if you're into that, this is your jam. Decent location, nice people, everything else is passable.
Bang bang shrimp was astounding in flavor, but was only luke warmish. Blazin Thai chicken was also packed with flavor, although the bell peppers were cut slightly large in my opinion. And the Chinese donuts were spot on. Not to mention a wonderful tasting sweet tea!
This is usually my go-to place for Asian, but I was really disappointed with my order yesterday. I ordered sweet and sour chicken with lo mein as a side. The chicken breading was soggy and white like it was left sitting out for hours and the noodles tasted like only butter was put on. Portion was disappointing for the price.
My family visited this location last night. I was in the mood for Asian food and we are new to the area we thought we would give it a shot (chineese Thai and Vietnamese food) are staples in our family I ordered the phad Thai it was 8 out of 10 imo i was pleased. My wife ordered the sesame chicken and the sweet n sour chicken to share with my youngest daughter. The sweet n sour chicken looked, felt and tasted like it was cooked hours previous and the sauce was very watered down. The sesame chicken was horrible it looked and tasted like they took the old sweet n sour chicken and poured a watery sesame seed sauce and poured it over the top of it.My eldest daughter ordered the cashew chicken and a side of teriyaki chicken she rated both of them a 3.I had to pull over on my 45min drive home 2 times because my wife and youngest daughter ended up throwing up there food on the side of the road even though I did enjoy the phad Thai I won't be visiting this place again.
An interesting detour! Started with the Mongolian with beef and fried rice. The "beef" was tasty but my wife was suspect that it was actually beef. I was happy with the flavor though the texture was a bit different. Sauce was delicious.Decided to go back for a chicken fried rice and it tasted like brown rice with lots of salt. Very little flavor.
