Incredible experience!!The live music, the food, the drinks, the aaaamazing staff, were all excellent!Mimosas were awesome!And the manager Ralph was so sweet and accommodating!Definitely recommend!!!
Like the previous post , lots of staff , but lack of service. Had to wait over an hour for a round of beers while the table next to us were seated, and served their meal. Cant even pay our tab to leave to go somewhere that can actually take care of their customersCan not recommend this place until the service gets better. Lots of staff but no service. Very quiet, more staff than customers. I had to go to the bar after waiting several minutes. I saw my waitress 2 times, both only after I went to the bar to place my order and to pay my bill (manager brought my food). Never got silverware or napkins. This is not a critique of the waitress, I think she was the only one doing anything at all, so kudos to her! The size of my sandwich was underwhelming to say the least. The bun looked like it came straight for the local grocery store, if they sold buns that small.
2nd time going and while this experience was better than the last, still couldn't quite pull it off. My food order was wrong (again), my table and chair was wobbly and seemed to outsmart the entire wait staff, and apparently there were some staffing issues as our server just left in the middle of ordering and getting food, so someone else took over, then the original server came back but didn't take our table back...all in all it was a very unusual experience. The live music was good and we got to see a marriage proposal, but all in all another less than stellar experience at what is supposed to be one of Huntsville's best spots.
Probably the best place to start your day/night downtown. Always great live music and friendly staff. Some of the best happy hour and brunch specials around. Lots of TVs to watch your favorite team on as well. They have an awesome courtyard perfect when the weather is nice.
I too hope this is an isolated incident, but I must write a review to express my disappointment. Server Sierra Edwards has no business in the waitress business. First off, we waited for at least 5 to 10 minutes before seeing anyone, I ordered steak and eggs with toast. I asked for sourdough toast and Sierra looked at me like I was crazy. She said she had never heard of sourdough and said, "we have toast". I wanted scrambled and a very small portion of hashbrowns. Sierra brought out my plate with the plate having a large portion of hashbrowns. Sierra said, they must not have seen my note on a small portion. Plate came with over easy eggs and I never got my toast. My wife ordered a steak salad which did not come out until almost 15 minutes after my food. Because I did not want to eat in front of my wife I waited and my food got cold. I kept asking for a status and Sierra just kept working other tables. I finally asked for a manager and manager came over only to say sorry. Did nothing to try and get our other food out sooner. We didn't get our drinks replenished, just horrible service. I was hopeful the manager would recognize the issue and provide a discount but nope, full price, with the exception of a free tea. I paid with cash and wasn't given correct change shorted 4 dollars. When I went to get it corrected the manager couldn't figure out how to get 4 dollars to correct the problem. Another great waitress pulled 4 dollars out of her tips to give to me. In the end I walked out without my 4 dollars, because I wasn't going to take from the other waitress. I told Sierra it was the most difficult thing to walk out leaving her a 4-dollar tip. She deserved nothing. I am sure the food would have been great if it wasn't so cold.
The food was very good. Large, tasty, well put together burgers and perfectly cooked fries. I wish TA had a good rating though because despite an ultimately good outcome, a very good rating was a stretch. First, I ordered a beer and the server left to see if they had it without taking my son’s order- she was gone a long time. Then I ordered another beer which was out and settled on a third. My son ordered his beer and the server returned after what felt like a few minutes t inform us that the keg had kicked and they were changing it- that took a long time, finally we got beers. Then the server returned to ask my son how the beer tasted- even though he said ok, they informed us that they thought the keg was bad joking that they were sure he’d be ok (we went along with the joke to be fair). Ultimately, the manager came over and everyone was friendly and apologetic. All my son’s beers were comped and I was given an extra too. We were also offered dessert free. So as I said, at the end of the day, it was a good meal, and the place did the right thing, but the road to get here was a bit bumpy. Again, really good burgers, good price and value. We would return
We had brunch menu items. My review is based on a poor choice for the order! The three others I was with had better experiences than I did. My daughter had chicken and waffles, and they looked great. Two friends had platter breakfasts and they looked great. I ordered a breakfast burrito. It was stone cold. It HAD to have been prepared and refrigerated beforehand and microwaved for service. It was awful, but I didn't complain because this occasion was more about the company than the food. I just wanted the morning to be smooth! I KNEW I shouldn't have ordered the darned thing, but was just hoping for something different! That's what I got! Just to the negative side! But I would go back for the chicken and waffles!
Myself and my family absolutely LOVE Peggy! We were first time customers and Peggy's drink recommendations were spot on, not to mention the respect and attention she showed my son! Never has a sever talked to him like he's one of the adults and not a child who has to have his parents order for him (hes 6), she gave him a full run down of the menu and let him take his time ordering. She's a true diamond on the ruff.
I have been to Humphreys many times in the past and I've always had good service with good food. That changed on my last visit. This time the service was not existent, not bad service no service. The table that got seated before us and our table sat there for 20 minutes without anybody coming up to take any type of order drinks or otherwise. There was another table their getting drinks and that waitress clearly saw the other table sitting there with no service but did nothing. We waited a little longer and then decided to take our business elsewhere. As we left the hostess that sat our table clearly saw what was going on but could have cared less.
