I have previously noticed the Flight Plan restaurant driving down Carl T. Jones drive. I am more sure what I expected, but the visit was a delightful experience.The "flight" of wine was excellent. There are a number of choices to fit almost any taste. I opted for the "variety pack" which was a selection of four different wines. The wines were placed on a sheet in an order that identified the wine and something about each wine. There was a crafted delivery made of wood that fit the placemat perfectly. It was a nice touch.Moreover, the two flights of wine we tried this evening were both excellent.While I thought the wine tasting would be good, I was not sure about the food choices. As it turned out, there were plenty of good choices. This evening, we had an empanada and scallops—two small dishes that the two of us split and enjoyed with the wine tasting.The folks at the restaurant were very friendly, informative and very good at providing an excellent experience.
Small but amazing resturant and staff if always very pleasant and enjoyable to talk with. Good selection of wines and the chef does an amazing job with the small portions but amazing taste of food to go with the many different wines. My wife and I enjoy doing the different flight plans which are basically 4 wines brought out to you based on style of wines. Highly recommend for a date night or friend that enjoys wine and good tasting but small portions of food. Try the fried deviled eggs. Seems to be a favorite of most folks that go there.

Flight Plan is one of Huntsville’s best kept secrets, although, I believe the word is getting out about where to get 5 star food and service while enjoying a great bottle of wine! The owners, Jim and Belinda, are a great team, and their staff are always friendly and ready to offer advice when ordering. Bella is our favorite server, but they are all wonderful! The food is exceptional, and the Chef, Jim, puts thought into every menu item listed. Belinda handles the wine selections, and she puts together a great selection for any occasion! This is one of my wife’s best go to spots for a wonderful meal and a great time. It is best to call ahead and make a reservation, as the place fills up quickly!
Not sure what was better, food or service. Visiting friends and went twice in four days. Thank you Belinda, Jim, Michael and staff. Top notch dining experience. Will be back!
One of the best eateries in Huntsville. Jim and Belinda are all about the customer experience! Whether it’s dinner or brunch, this is a can’t miss in the Huntsville area.
We first stopped in to Flight Plan a month ago to grab a quick bite to eat. The hostess was very friendly even though we didn’t have a reservation. Since then we have been there two more times (with reservations) and have enjoyed our meals everY time. The serving staff are all knowledgeable and take the time to get to know you. The chef visits the tables and chats. The food is exceptional, we especially enjoy the stuffed, bacon wrapped dates. We will continue to enjoy coming to this restaurant in the future!
