I went with a friend. The food was ok. The wait staff were great.

Dirty restaurantHow do you give less than 1 star? This place was disgusting ?. We are seated a table that had so much food on the bench we had to wipe it down and it made a pile on the floor. Big chunks of the former party’s meal. Then they bring salsa and chips and when reaching for a chip my shirt sleeve sticks to the table. I go inform the hostess that the table is sticky so that they can wipe it off. Instead she follows me back to the table and proceeds to wipe her hands all over the table saying she doesn’t feel the sticky that I’m talking about. She then pulls her sleeves down and leans over the table and chips and salsa. One arm on each side of the food and rubs her upper body all over the table saying she still doesn’t feel the stickiness. Meanwhile you can see this substance on the table. Getting aggravated, I said it doesn’t matter if you feel it or not. The proper response is to get a cloth and wipe down the table. She said it didn’t need to be wiped down. I replied, I’m not eating here. Then she goes into this whole thing about how she can wipe the table down if that is what I want but it doesn’t need it. Well what I feel wasn’t needed was my business and that is why I am now sitting at El Mariachi just down the road ordering food at a table I don’t stick to with seats that are not holding the previous party’s mouth drops.
Hidden Gem in the Publix plaza on Winchester. Their food is delicious, not really Authentic or Tex-Mex, but it's better than the more popular places like Rosie's or Phil Sandoval's.I have eaten in, had curbside during the height of the lock down, and ordered take away. There is no difference.Actually, their takeaway is packaged better than most. It comes in aluminum covered dishes instead of the typical styrofoam clamshell. This matters. One, it doesn't leak all over the bag through normal handling between the pickup and home.They package everything like it comes on the plate and provided all of the sides as separate containers; including chips and salsa for each entree. It's indicative of the quality you can expect from El Monte on Winchester.If you live in the area and have never tried it, you should.

Love love love going to lunch with my husband here. Consistently fast and courteous service, super clean, good music at a good volume, and a pleasant atmosphere! A must place to eat in Huntsville!
I keep going back hoping it will get better. Every time I am reminded why I kept hoping it would get better. Their service is spot on every single time. Their kitchen staff just doesn't care it seems. I ordered a tamale and a steak soft taco.... The steak and the tortilla were burnt. All you could taste was char. The tamale was cool in the center when I got it... Which was surprising as the plate felt like it just came out of the oven. The wife ordered beef nachos... And all that came out was chips meat and cheese sauce poured over top. Thought there would at least be so e lettuce and tomato with it. Just very underwhelmed.
