Edgar's did an amazing job on our wedding cake. I'm very pleased with the experience we had at the Providence store. Their team is fantastic!
'Was meeting an old college buddy, in town from ATL and wanted to have breakfast at something unique to Huntsville. My first thought went to Edgar's...as I had been to the other location for lunch and baked goods many times.Tucked on the corner of quaint Lil Providence, Edgar's is a perfect place to grab breakfast or lunch. But Beware! You'll find 4-5 other things you want while waiting in line!?Ordered the 'breakfast sandwich' with homemade jalapeno bread and melted cheese for days!?And if you like cinnamon, who can resist their warm, Honey Pecan 'sticky buns'?!?As I like to say, "Oh my Gearrhd, Good!"
Such a wonderful place! Options for everyone from rare to find baked goods, to options for parties or get togethers, great gift options, friendly and knowledgeable staff, great ready to go options and made to order options. Coffee drinks were really good. Food was excellent. Would highly recommend
They treat their employees like trash. The food is decent if you like frozen cake layers. I wont eat here because of the way they treat their employees.
For the prices and the decor that this bakery charges and dresses to, the management is sorely lacking to say the least. For this Huntsville location, the staff is very aloof, unfriendly, unhelpful. I have been in over a half dozen times for various products and services. Only one time when I picked up the cake did they get it right; and even at that, they packed it very poorly in a contorted and bent box that did not even cover the whole cake. That was worse than a Walmart service. When I have ordered food, the wait was insane - even precovid. Every time, the order was wrong and on one occasion, they just forgot me altogether - and no apologies or discount or anything. The attitude of the staff equals - hurry up and order and give us the money and not GET OUT! I have been to many nice bakeries in my time, and this was the worse on service and expertise!! The food was only average - even the specialty items. The cake flavors are ok, but for the price, no.
Everything looks pretty and tasty. The smoothies however were sub par. $6 for premix, nothing fresh. The loaded breakfast bowl was small had some icky grits in it. Not impressed with the food but the bakery items look nice
Even after placing an on-line order and being given a 0700 pickup time from Edgars Bakery's in Providence website and when explained the time that their website gave me no one seemed to care and the one preparer tried to make it seem like I miss read the time given (even after I received a confirmation email) . Even after waiting 15 minutes past my pick-up time, I wasn't going to write a review. But when I returned home and looked at the omelette, the entire inside of the egg was burnt. I've never seen any restaurant or dining facility serve or sell anyone an omelette like this. The outside did look great but the inside was absolutely terrible and no one would eat it. So the careless service and terrible food is the reason for my review. The attitudes I saw this morning and the horrible food I received forced me to write this review. Certain people probably receive great courteous service and delicious food but for me on this day, the service was horrible and the food terrible. If I post pictures of this omelette, Edgars would say it's not real and I know people would question the quality of the food. The entire omelette was completely burned on the inside, like the cook wasn't attentive while cooking. Note: I used to frequently visit the bakery in the past but after this morning, IHOP would be a far better choice, yes IHOP.
The pimento cheese biscuit was amazing. It is on a cheddar biscuit with egg and bacon. It was the best . The cheese grits never disappoint!
very good baked goods for a good price, friendly and helpful service. as well as good lunch sandwiches and sides. my favorite is their macaroons and marble rye bread. a fantastic spot especially if you live in the apartments down the road
I love Petit Fours! I love bakeries. I love fresh pastries. Petit Fours, even grocery store ones, are better than these were.
