We've been going here since they opened. It used to have a wonderful ambiance, great food, and we never had a bad meal. Now? The place is obviously in need of up-keep. The seats in the booths are ragged and torn with bits of naugahyde peeling off, tables bowing in the middle, and just a general air of disrepair. The seating hostess had to be coaxed into doing her job, even though the place was nearly empty. All of the great dishes they used to have like the fresh sashimi tuna? Off the menu. It appears that Bonefish has gone the route of nothing made fresh at the restaurant. Now so many chains have everything "produced" in a central "kitchen", frozen and shipped. They heat up the prefab packages and dress it up on a plate. The entrees were adequate - but at those prices - it should be better than adequate. Our server was very nice, attentive, and really was the one saving grace of the meal. (Well, the bang-bang shrimp are still good.)
I’m from out of town, and was recommended to go here by a friend. At first glance it reminded me of a restaurant I’m accustomed to back in Texas.I came with 2 other coworkers. We were seated and greeted promptly. We ordered our food.Everyone’s food came out in a timely manner, but my entire plate was cold. I waited for the waitress to return so they could fix my plate. She came back, apologized, and said that she would make it right.About 5 minutes later, she comes back and says, “They out my fish in the grill longer, gave me fresh asparagus, and a hot plate”. So my fish tasted like rubber.I won’t be coming back here.
Came in to a not-very-busy establishment. Restaurant was at half capacity at most. Was seated at the table about 20 minutes before anyone ever approached us. Ordered drinks and waited another 15 minutes for those. Ordered a side salad and an order of fish and chips and waited probably 45 minutes for those. The waitress we had was new, but she tried. She is not the reason for this poor review. She did the best she could under the absolutely laughable management. The fish and chips were absolutely burnt. Not just a little overdone. ACRID. Damn near inedible. I didn’t even bother to complain as I was just ready to leave at that point. The waitress, to her credit, did offer us a free dessert without our asking bc of the ridiculous wait times we just endured. We definitely won’t be back. If they can’t even fry fish properly, I’d hate to know the quality of some of the dishes that are a bit more complicated to make. In short, it’s typical corporate chain mediocre food at quality-local-place prices. Save your money and go to a locally-owned place. You won’t regret it.
We normally always celebrate mother's birthday here. We will be looking for something else next time. Our server was scattered but he was training someone (which normally helps due to having more health. Now the new guy was amazing. Our server was the issue) He spilled drinks across the table to refill them. He had to be reminded 6 times for bread which he never brought. (We asked someone else for it to go. ) our salads were wrong. Overall it was just a lackluster experience. I'm disappointed as we use to love this place.
We ate here tonight and had a FANTASTIC experience. Our server's name was Chris. Everything came out quickly and was fresh and delicious. Even though they were very busy, our food and service was exceptional. Definitely recommend.(We ordered bang bang shrimp and crab fries for appetizers. We also had the coral reef punch from the bar. I ordered the filet and lobster tail and my date ordered the blackened Baja fish tacos.)
Whatever you do, don’t go here! Huntsville has plenty of options available. This place sucks with a capital S! I called prior to showing up and the manager assured me that we would be immediately seated, we got there and the poor little hostess said it would be several minutes to be seated and the place was empty. Outback was packed, drakes was packed and their maybe 14 customers in the whole place and the poor little hostess couldn’t seat us. This is a Saturday night and they were empty??? This tells the story. I live next door and have eaten here for years and their customer service has gone down. Don’t go here! They suck!!! The managers don’t give a damn about you.
This was once a favorite but not so much now. Bad smell permeated the dining room. Cocktail was presented as a margarita in an old fashioned glass and tasted like a vodka old fashioned. The turf in the surf and turf was tough. Even the sauce for the calamari was "different." Cost cutting measures? Or management change? At least the carrot lava cake was up to par.
Love this place! Service was great, and all the food is delicious. I felt that the dishes are all reasonably priced as well, paired with an expansive wine menu to boot!
The ambiance is nice and the service was very good. The food was good too. I had the Atlantic Salmon Pasta. It was a little spicy but very good. Wife had the Atlantic Salmon and mash potatoes.
The quality of cooking from the kitchen has gone downhill to me. This used to be my favorite Special Occasion spot for dinner. On 2/16/2022 I requested we eat there. Our appetizers (their popular Bang Bang Shrimp) was terribly sub-par; my Mahi-Mahi was very overcooked; and their once popular Molten Lava Cake was nothing more than a sloppy Chocolate Cake slice. Terribly, terribly disappointing from a one special menu. Frankly, I would rather have dinner at the City Cafe.
