Awesome prices! The turkey leg was HUGE and delicious, well cooked. The okra side was also very well served. Three of us ate with 3 drinks and desserts for under $40 before tip and it was nice portion sizes. When people say traditional Southern food or Soul food, don't think greasy like I did, this was really well cooked and nothing was super oily. It was fried of course but fried well! I left without that heavy feeling you usually get when eating fried food, no bad reflux after either. The only negative is the older building, so be prepared for that if you're super picky about aesthetics, otherwise I am glad I trusted the girls at work and checked it out! (Kims and the Dark Side coffee shop next door are good spots as well, will definitely be back to all 3!)
Never had a bad piece of Fried Chicken here, even during pandemic times, this place delivered. Always enjoy having lunch here.
Fried catfish, fried okra, collard greens, and peach cobbler was all very good. Very casual atmosphere. Not recommended for a date though.
No long wait for food at all & very very good fried catfish fillet cornbread the ? love it all. Great customer service! Got my business weekly!
I would give the fried food, potato salad, red velvet cake, and peach cobbler five stars. I also recommend the coleslaw & cornbread. I'm not a huge fan of the mashed potatoes and mac and cheese. That being said this is my go-to meat and three and one of my most favorite restaurants in Huntsville. She makes everything except for the rolls, lemon cake and maybe one other desert herself.
Excellent Good but recent horrible hours.It is so refreshing to have seasoned food. It would be even better if you could get it on Saturdays. What restaurant is closed on the weekend?
Wasn't the hype I heard it to be and definitely could tell no one cleaned that day! Order to go chicken and dressing it was burnt the yams were runny and mushy...I got a spoon full of turnip greens didn't get my fried green tomatoes that I paid extra for...only thing I liked was the honeybun cake ...I don't see me going back for the food maybe the dessert
Very good! Ate there many times and have never been disappointed! The staff are very friendly and welcoming!
