all around the best.i recommend the meatball pinini
We stumbled upon this place even though a friend of ours told us about it. It is right across from the Moss Creek Preserve entrance. I don't know if this is the front or back entrance to Moss Rock to be honest. You could easily enjoy a nice walk and then enjoy lunch or dinner at this restaurant. There is plenty of parking and some require parallel parking ability. There are tables inside and outside along with a patio that allows dogs. You place your order once you enter and there is a good selection of draft beers and a couple of wine taps. You can leave your tab open in case you want another draft beer. There are no fountain drinks. Just bottle soda and a small selection of glass bottle sodas. We ordered a 16oz classic pepperoni and sat at table to wait. There was a pretty good crowd being that it was 4:20 pm in the afternoon. It wasn't too long and we had our pizza. It was good and we'll definitely back to try other things like the garlic knots or the bruschetta and for pizza the Carnevale. It looked really good as we passed a couple sitting outside enjoying it as we made our way to the parking lot.
So much potential, fails on so many levels. Pre-cooked dishes that were burned during re-heating, asking for extra marinara sauce to rehydrate was like asking for gold. A simple side salad (available with sandwiches) are not available for pasta dishes, wont even sell you one. Salt and pepper are hidden away, when I ask for s&p the employee pointed to a rack where they are kept. Community seating, 'nuf said. Honestly, the best thing about this place is the smell when you walk in the door. Your nose will tell you to get ready for something great, What a let down.
We attended the Drinking with Culture demo class for our anniversary. The hosts were entertaining and knowledgeable. The food was good but lesser portions than expected, especially for the price of the event. However, we ordered an extra appetizers and a drink during out wait. The artichoke dip was amazing! Definitely let the hosts know in advance if you are vegetarian, and try not to get seated in the edge... we felt very ignored at times sitting in the back and on the edge.. The event was overall interesting, unique, and high-energy. We expected and anticipated more personal, intimate, and elegant. The website description seemed to sell a different experience than we received, but we had a great time.
Ordered bruschetta, pizza and a panini. The bruschetta was good. The pizza came out completely doughy. I normally will eat whatever comes but this was pretty gross. We sent it back and while the server was nice, the two ladies behind the glass looked super angry that it was sent back and just oddly stared at us. They ran the same pizza back through even though we already handled it. It came back somehow with burned crust but was still doughy. The pizza was very bland and pretty tasteless with only a tiny bit of cheese. The panini was ok but quite bland. Not complainers but this was a terrible waste of 50 dollars. And oddly enough you have to order, pay and tip before sitting down. I am genuinely not a fan of being asked to tip before receiving service.
As close to true Italian Pizza as you can get without leaving the US! So delicious!! The guy who helped me was so kind. Service to a whole other level. They had a good selection of wines, if you like that. I felt like I stepped back to a time in Italy! Great little hidden place! ??
Visiting friends this weekend and they brought us here. Spinach lasagna very creamy but middle was very cold.
I ordered pesto pasta. If there was pesto in the dish, I neither saw it nor tasted it. My dish was not warm let alone hot throughout. We also ordered the tiramisu. It was hands down the worst I have ever had. No creamy sweetness whatsoever. Choose another restaurant.
We just ordered Vecchia via DoorDash and it was so bad. Everything was burnt black but also cold. The Bruschetta was easily a week old bc the tomatoes weren’t even red anymore. The garlic knots had no garlic. We threw it all away. Extremely disappointed.
As claimed it is a wood fried pizza in a roomy and shared table environment. Been there for the 1st time. Pizza Dough was fresh and house made. Staff's were friendly. Service was great. We tried garlic knots as appetizers, but for some reason we couldn't find the garlic taste in it. But the knots were soft inside and crispy outside. Marinara sauce was fresh. If I'm right, it is also house made.Best part of having pizza over here is, we don't feel fill like the Pizza chains. You feel light. Be of this we made 2nd order of pizza. Lol. Overall the 3 pizzas (Pesto chicken, Vegetable and Arrabiata) we had were delicious. They also have good beer collections both local and prominent market beers. The place has 3 entrances, 2 facing northwest and one facing north east. All are wheel chair accessable. The ambiance is like a sporty bar and grill. We can openly seen the pizza preparation from dough making to firing the pizza. Real good place to spend 2 hours.I will definitely visit this place again and recommend others to try out.
